Well from the title and summary – it sounds like its spot on. A good website that exposes a lot this here in the U.S. is Ken Silva’s ministry – http://apprising.org
That ministry has been very eye-opening and doesn’t pull any punches when it comes to holding pastors accountable for deviating from the gospel. I’m sure like all others they are not perfect and have a speck somewhere in their eye if you look hard enough. I also find they link to a large number of other ministries that present what I have found to be sound biblical teaching.
My wife ran across that site when we had some questions about a guest pastor who had preached one Sunday – and since then have made the decision that we would move our family to a much smaller, gospel proclaiming church plant that has been a real blessing to us so far.

Listening now, in the mean time I read Deceived on Purpose by Warren Smith (former new ager). Easy read and good book. Highlights Warren’s background and speaks about Warren, the purpose driven theme, PEACE, The Message Bible, etc.

I wanted to share something else that’s been on my heart for a while – I don’t have a chapter and verse to cite, so it’s maybe just me and could be really wrong.
With what I see going on in the church – I am even more convinced that a) the rapture will not take place until sometime after the tribulation begins b)what is going on in the church (what seems like a great delusion) has me even more convinced we are on the threshold of the great tribulation.
I see the heresies of the word faith, NAR, IHOP pseudo prophets, the rock star preachers – especially the Rick Warren, TD Jakes, Stephen Furtick, Rob Bell, etc – and even what has gone on with my old church joining in fellowship with some of them and I’m just sickened. The church- and even me need the refining fire before the day of the that we great the bridegroom. I know he paid it all, and he’s the only reason we deserve to be with him – but I can’t imagine it would be good for us to go on deceived and sinning our hind ends off to be suddenly and miraculously transformed.
Okay – one verse that’s been tumbling over inside me
Behold, I have refined you, but not as silver; I have tried you in the furnace of affliction.(Isaiah 48:10 ESV)
Shouldn’t we be welcoming that? In that God can use the things that bring us pain and trouble to transform us into the children he has adopted through Christ?
I feel stupid saying that – since quite honestly living where I live and having the easy life I’ve had which has not been marked with many or frequent tragedies or loss – I feel like a fool saying come and refine me with the affliction you’ll allow. I love that he has the grace to not give me what I deserve, but I’m thankful that he’d give me the comparatively small measure that my soul needs to be what he intends it to be.

If the two witnesses do show up on the scene I have a very strong suspicion they are going to have some very harsh things to say, and I wouldn’t be surprised if it included plagues and other chastisement for the “teachers” I mentioned above and those like them that distort the truth. They probably won’t recognize them at first for what they are- but I think a number of the readers here and others will recognize who they are and what they are doing.

yeah a good site but have to say sometimes discernment ministries (like lighthouse trails for example) are a bit caustic with some churches/ministries/denominations that are still adhering firm to the faith but a different style-not substance. need to just stick with discerning open error than supposing so much when not on the inside. my opinion. God can much better separate the wheat from the tares. (i try to be careful with discernment ministries too). don’t want to throw the baby out with the bathwater………….

They will use holographic technology to fake a alien invasion. Remember all those lights above Israel that hovered and flew up into the air really fast? Stuff like that. They can use their technology to make people think there is aliens when nothing really is there.

The Big Space Show in the Sky
