I find it so interesting that as things are looking worse and worse for the governments of Europe – Israel is now enjoying unprecedented unity within government.

-ed and not mentioned in the article, but shoring up their resolve to defend themselves against the Iranian threat.

This unprecendented level of support for the current government is exactly what Netanyahu needed to provide the political cover for a strike on Iran. I don’t think even he expected to accomplish this without soundly trouncing Kadima and Labor in the early elections.

Meanwhile in Europe – the headlines are not so rosy.

-In Greece as the controversy over how to deal with the economic crisis deepens, the rise of the extreme right and extreme left are disrupting the government’s ability to do anything at all.

France takes the easy way out

– I know this isn’t the case but in France it almost seems as if a political movement akin to the “occupy” movement here in the states has elected their man. The tide of politics in France has shifted away from government and individuals acting responsibly – to “lets elect the guy that will give us the biggest government handouts.” This will not go well, and I think is part of a larger rising tide throughout Europe (and the US and probably elsewhere) that will hasten the collapse, increase its severity, and pave the way for an economic “savior” who rewrites the laws of global commerce, institutes a global currency, and requires a “mark” to ensure the “security” of all financial transactions.

Italy is struggling to keep their commitment to the EU. My guess is they will fail due to the pressure of their own electorate- and the EU will “need” to grab more sovereignty away from the Italian electorate.

So, the more we tire of waiting, the more we see that all these things continue to move toward the future events promised in God’s word.

    Israel needs unity, or else they don’t exist – especially in these last days (imho).

    Of Europe…..

    If the EU is the prophesied 4th Empire that will devour the whole Earth, and is the 1st Beast mentioned in Revelation 13, then I am reminded of this particular passage of Scripture:

    Revelation 13:1-3

    English Standard Version (ESV)

    The First Beast

    13)” And I saw a beast rising out of the sea, with ten horns and seven heads, with ten diadems on its horns and blasphemous names on its heads. 2) And the beast that I saw was like a leopard; its feet were like a bear’s, and its mouth was like a lion’s mouth. And to it the dragon gave his power and his throne and great authority. 3) One of its heads seemed to have a mortal wound, but its mortal wound was healed, and the whole earth marveled as they followed the beast.”

    The EU will have to fail – or at the very least “appear” to fail first. Then she will come back like a roaring Lion devouring the entire Earth.

    Vic as I shared with you in e-mail ( three days ago ) maybe we will see this ” sudden destruction” come to pass here ( maybe ) before the world’s meeting on “Iran” the 23rd ?

    Something is just not right, the groaning we feel in our spirit’s in undeniably the ” unction” from the Holy Spirit to alert us to the ” when they shall say – Peace, Peace”.

    Been grieving in my spirit now for the past few weeks, actually since Passover that is 😦

  3. Mr. Baldy – When looking at what’s happening now, in addition to your observation about Revelation 13 – I’d also consider Daniel 7: 7-8

    After this I saw in the night visions, and behold, a fourth beast, terrifying and dreadful and exceedingly strong. It had great iron teeth; it devoured and broke in pieces and stamped what was left with its feet. It was different from all the beasts that were before it, and it had ten horns. I considered the horns, and behold, there came up among them another horn, a little one, before which three of the first horns were plucked up by the roots. And behold, in this horn were eyes like the eyes of a man, and a mouth speaking great things.

    I think what we are observing economically is a prelude to those governments being stamped with its feet. It’s interesting that in the passage the stamping what is left comes before the rise of the 11th horn – it’s as if the little horn is concealed within the beast until it is time for it to be revealed.
