  1. driscoll is spot on.
thanks for posting this. i’m so grateful anticipating heaven for only in heaven is there the perfect life. this sin cursed world groans louder and louder as it awaits His finish to it all. the Cross defeated death and hell already-praise God!-but we are seeing how it has to work out in real time. down here i know i need Jesus moment to moment to get through it. we can’t take a holiday from breathing and live–neither can the believer afford a moment without Jesus. praise the Lord for His Holy Spirit indwelling and bringing God’s Everlasting Word-the only Truth to be had–into our inner man ❤
Psa 119:67 Before I was afflicted I went astray: but now have I kept thy word.
Psa 119:71 It is good for me that I have been afflicted; that I might learn thy statutes.
Psa 119:72 The law of thy mouth is better unto me than thousands of gold and silver.
2Co 7:10 For godly sorrow worketh repentance to salvation not to be repented of: but the sorrow of the world worketh death.
2Co 7:11 For behold this selfsame thing, that ye sorrowed after a godly sort, what carefulness it wrought in you, yea, what clearing of yourselves, yea, what indignation, yea, what fear, yea, what vehement desire, yea, what zeal, yea, what revenge! In all things ye have approved yourselves to be clear in this
    matter.
what godly sorrow is produced in His ways with us and what joy and peace accompanies this!
    HE is faithful!!!
is still by faith that we must walk all this out and the Bible is full of these examples and understanding….am i glad for those who have gone before us to show us the walk of faith! my trails and tribulations are what teach me how much in need my Lord just like they taught david to be a man after God's own heart.
so i love Him because He first loved me. and what Promises! everyday i am blessed beyond measure–all undeserved by me–but my blessings pale in comparison to HIM—the Blesser.

and that finish that is coming? when every eye shall see Him……………words fail to speak the Power and Glory of His Return!
may the Blessed Lord Jesus have His way in us all ❤

  2. thanks tony. i have read many things you have written that remind me to keep looking up and i thank you for that!
    that’s a brother alright! 🙂
this world with all it’s trinkets, babbles, and “promises” that prove empty anyway, is passing away as we speak…faster everyday.
don’t belong here because this world is not our Home.
our inheritance is the Lord Himself.
our very Life…..Eternal Life in His Name…the Mighty Name of Jesus.

  3. Psalm 73:9
Their mouths lay claim to heaven, and their tongues take possession of the earth.

Psalm 73 is very sobering and applies to the prosperity gospel I noticed the other day when reading. He who doesn’t take up his cross and follow Him is not worthy of Him.
