The rebirth of the nation of Israel is unique among all the nations in history. Starting around 600 BC, the nation was totally destroyed, not once but twice. Amazingly, after each destruction, it came back into existence. Not only was the nation destroyed twice, but each time nearly all of the people were taken captive into foreign countries. Yet they returned to the land. All this points to the uniqueness of Israel. This nation is not like the others because it is based on an everlasting covenant with God!
In 586 BCE, the great Babylonian king, Nebuchadnezzar, totally destroyed the nation, government, Jerusalem and the temple. This destruction resulted in nearly all the Jews being taken captive to Babylon. When a people were taken captive as the Jews were, they usually were lost in history. The Jews are different. They remained in Babylon for 70 years and then returned to rebuild Jerusalem and their temple.
The Romans, some 650 years later in 70 CE, again destroyed the nation, Jerusalem and the temple. The Jews once again were defeated totally and were dispersed into all the world. The devastation was awesome. Israel should have ended as a nation and probably as a people in 586 BCE, but it survived. Israel, definitely should have ended as a nation in 70 CE, but as the ancient Bible prophets wrote, the nation literally was reborn. This occurred in 1948.
We live in the time that Israel is again a nation, with Jerusalem as its capital. The people once again speak Hebrew and even have shekels for money! We are living in a time when Bible prophecy is happening before our eyes! As the Day of the Lord and the Second Coming of Jesus Christ grows closer, it is clear from the Bible that the world focus will be on Israel and Jerusalem. The God of Israel deals with the nations as they bless or curse his nation Israel, and his city Jerusalem.
I show this in my book As America Has Done to Israel. This book shows the authority of the Bible as the word of God. In a very unique way, it shows, through the flow of history and current events, how God directly is working to fulfil his prophetic plan for Israel! Throughout history you can see that God deals with the Jewish people and Israel like no other. Just as God dealt with Israel throughout history in a unique way, so it is today, as God seems to have a specific timeline in which events are occurring. You can follow this unique timeline which follows:
God’s Prophetic Timeline with the Modern State of Israel
1897 This year is considered the beginning of modern Zionism. Starting on August 29, the first Zionist Congress met in Basil, Switzerland to begin plans for the modern state of Israel in what was then Palestine. The reason for this was a tremendous outbreak of anti-Semitism in France and throughout Europe.
1917 This happened during World War 1: (1) On November 2, Foreign Secretary Arthur Balfour issued what is now known as the Balfour Declaration, expressing the British government’s support for a Jewish homeland in Palestine. (2) On December 9, the Turkish Army surrendered Jerusalem to the British.
1947 This was the result of World War 2 and the Holocaust. On Nov. 29, the United Nations General Assembly passed a resolution calling for Palestine to be partitioned between Arabs and Jews, allowing for the formation of the Jewish state of Israel. A war followed which ended with Jerusalem being divided.
1967 The Six Day War. This war was fought between June 5 and 10, with the result that on June 7, Jerusalem was united as the capital of Israel.
2017 Based on the previous events, it looks like 2017 is going to be a year of great, if not awesome, prophetic significance.
When examining these prophetic events regarding Israel, it becomes very clear that dramatic events are happening in years ending with 7. If you take it one step further, these events are spaced years apart that can be divide by 10. Then taking one more step, the years between are 120, 100, 70, 50, 30, and 20.

The Year 2017

From the events shown above, there is a convergence in 2017 of events occurring on 120, 100, 70 and 50 years. I am NOT predicting that any prophetic events like those listed are going to happen. What I am saying is that based on the listed timeline, if God follows this pattern, something incredible is going to happen in 2017. So many of these timeline patterns are converging this year that it is a warning to be prepared for a cataclysmic event that may happen. What I also noticed is that the events all happened during either extreme anti-Semitism, war, including world wars, or as the result of one. None of them happened during a time of peace or by a peaceful treaty, but they all resulted from tremendous violence and hatred.
What Could Happen in 2017 ?
Zechariah 12:6 In that day will I make the governors of Judah like an hearth of fire among the wood, and like a torch of fire in a sheaf; and they shall devour all the people round about, on the right hand and on the left: and Jerusalem shall be inhabited again in her own place, even in Jerusalem.
Just as it was prior to both World Wars, today there is a tremendous buildup of anti-Semitism in Europe, with the United Nations and the European Union continually condemning Israel for building on the land, especially in Jerusalem. As 2016 ended, the nations were focused on Jerusalem and demanding that it be divided and made the capital of a Palestinian State. With all of the tension building against Israel and Jerusalem, 2017 might be the year for an awesome war over Jerusalem, or a war that will start and end up with the focus on Jerusalem.
It is very possible that the war could light the fuse to Armageddon. This war will not be Armageddon, but a war that will dramatically change the world order and set the stage for the antichrist and Armageddon.
It is very possible that this war could break the back of Islam. If this becomes a Muslim religious war over Jerusalem, it is very possible that God will judge Islam over his city and show the world that he is the Holy God of Israel and allah is not God. This would fulfill, for example, Psalm 83, Obadiah and Isaiah 17 along with many other prophecies. With the defeat of Islam, Israel would be free to build the long-awaited third temple on the Temple Mount, and thus, start the countdown for the coming of the antichirst, Armageddon, and the Second Coming of Jesus Christ.

My biggest concern are the days LEADING up to Sept 23 ,,,,{ can we say sudden destruction, judgment anyone ?} and the days soon thereafter . Who among those anticipating a catching away will be able to stand ……I deliberately chose to end my thought there .

What IF ….the abomination has ALREADY taken place and the next few months catch so many unawares only because they’ve anticipated a sequence of events that aren’t going to play out the way they’ve expected ?

but judea is supposed to flee when the abomination of desolation happens isn’t it? and armies are surrounding jerusalem then correct? and it says the days are shortened. the anti-christ has a “shortened time” (3 1/2 yrs) to do his evil right? (and yes the pope is an evil man, no doubt about it-he has a role to play for sure)
i do think we are close to the midpoint. dec 2013 ended one 7 year agreement with israel and the eu (revived roman empire-that beast system) and another started in 2014-2021. so a halfway point is june of 2017.

this is just a speculative thought and i pray for clarity. so i don’t know hisown if that is anything or not. methinks maybe it is possible that the world will have clear 20/20 vision of everything by 2020??? certainly israel will see Jesus the One whom they have pierced sometime during all the chaos in those chapters describing the end days of the end days…..
my understanding of matt 24:15-22,(kjv mentions great tribulation while the previous verses of matt 24 are describing tribulation then it all ramps up at that midpoint to great tribulation by v 21 because some abominable man stood where he ought not, to do that abominable thing at the most sacred spot on the earth) luke 21:20-24 (armies compassing and judea flees, etc) mark 13:14-20 (the abominable described again). to me it sure looks like the man of sin is the somebody who takes some kind of stand at temple mount to stake a claim for it (?) (and of course that is God’s sweet spot of the entire earth and that would be a direct poke into the apple of His eye!) and he has a short time to get the abominating done. jerusalem and specifically temple mount is the most hotly contested piece of real estate on the planet. there are already plans to internationalize jerusalem. will somebody attempt to carve it up to dole it out to the big 3 —-the (apostate led by the pope) christian/jewish/muslim religions???? for the sake of “peace and safety”???? (the world can sing kumbaya at this point, maybe?)

i’m not sure we can know exactly until it happens but God will be dropping some very big hints i’ma thinkin’… more of prophecy is coming to light with every passing day it looks to me.
Jesus said watch…not figure it all out. so actually i think we can come close, but not exact.
what i am sure of is———–it’s all coming to a crescendo soon and not later.
Jesus said: “when ye shall see”….that will be when all these things will be clearly seen.

This is all so good. Seems to me that the time of Jacobs trouble is about to start and that it we ignite over Jerusalem in connection w/ the moving of the embassy. just what I sense, that’s all…so, imo…Jesus will come cruisin’ in to begin the millennial kingdom somewhere round 2020 – 2021 and we will be ridin’ in with Him. its gonna feel truly awesome,… the Grand star alignment will be in place in the heavens just a sparklin’ away,…star light, star bright * … It will be The Ultimate Shalom

the 50th anniversary of this is coming in june 2017. the 50th year is the jubilee year. below is a link about that event. (how incredibly God saved israel from destruction then…and He will again).

I don’t have the time right now to go into a exhaustive study on the understanding of the 70th week but maybe you would consider popping over to FP where there are two { recent } very exciting threads being discussed on this. Please note that my understanding of the 70th week changed when I was compelled to lay aside all that I was taught by the craftiness of men . The Lord took me by the scruff of the neck in 2010 and forced me to ask Him the difficult questions . I still bare the scars- OUCH 🙂
I love that He has promised that we would all come to the UNITY of the faith and it seems many in the Body are waking up to just how much we have been deceived by Papal Rome.

Once we come to the correct understanding of the 70th week we realize that there ain’t no 7 year covenant { RCC AC taught lie } and that’s why so many fell away after 2010 when the ENP fizzled out .It was a major distraction and diversion. It worked !
I used to believe this but was compelled to seek the Lord on that in 2012. That was the year the Lord gave me the 5 smooth stones and the understanding of the partial fulfilment of prophecy with the FUTURE 3 and a half yrs that many would dismiss only because it didn’t line unto the doctrines taught from tradition .
Let’s reason together as Tony said and be willing to search the scriptures ourselves .
As time permits , I’ll go through other points but as of now, this is more than enough 🙂

i think it is a two fold prophecy. i know about a.d. 70 and what went on. that was the scattering-the dispora. and i know about antiochus epiphanes and the sow on the altar that desecrated the temple and the maccabean response to that horrid defilement of God’s sacred ground. i still believe it has a duel fulfillment–so one fulfillment is in old testament times and the
other one, that is yet to happen in new testament times. many prophecies work like that in the Bible. like dry runs that foreshadow the future (in the micro meaning pointedly specific and in the end times in the macro meaning of global proportions)……..and all is fast coming upon the entire world. the eu is a player in end time prophecy (and will produce the man of sin because of it’s dealings (very prejudicial and underhanded at best and outright evil at worst) with israel and the eu military buildup may be part of an international “solution” {israel is at fault for the world’s lack of “peace” so they must control (in other words get rid of them) in the name of “peace and safety”} to fix the israel problem and the world now is bent on making them comply and give up their God-given land. it is an abomination before Holy God for others to do as they please with His land and His people the jews and the Lord will hold them accountable. all is mounting to come to crescendo. you can feel it……is palpable. Scripture is leading the way to show us what to be watching.
that is my position and i think it is an educated one. and the Lord can change my mind if need be because i seek His wisdom and read the Bible carefully to compare Scripture to Scripture. more and more He provides the light we need as this world grows darker. so we are free to have differing views. and i don’t have to be totally correct either or try to persuade others to my way of thinking because i’m only stating my position and others certainly have theirs. there is room for that. plus God is Sovereign…..He can withhold whatever intel from us if He has chosen to 😉 ! i am sure there are many surprises in the making as we speak! so i am satisfied to be watching, praying, waiting and sharing the Gospel all the while. that is most important to me. the Lord will fill me in on an as needed basis since my heart is listening for Him. i pray many others are doing the same, watching as Jesus said to do.
so…….soon we’ll all get it 100% right because the Lord will bring complete fulfillment of detail to pass (and that wonderful unity too) and remove all the questions and /or doubts and unknowns we currently have. now we see through a glass darkly…..but not for long.

I thought that there was some disappointment no doubt [life is full of disappointments] but we recovered like people do. Strength is gained through recovery and we grow wiser [little by little that is]. So, WAS there a BIG falling away that STANDS OUT??? I was hurt that Herb Peters passed away more than anything else as real life tears flowed down my face.

educated in comparing Scripture to Scripture and look for application in current events (secular and religious too) hisown. i study the Bible to understand and admit i currently see through a glass darkly (as i said). don’t try to make it about me. i only stated my opinion that differs from yours so i’m speaking as one who reads the Bible to apply it to the times we are in, not what i think i have “all figured out”. i don’t say that anywhere in my post or even imply it.
there have been “7’s” that have come and gone already.
my thoughts are based on a secular timetable that is posed by the roman beast system that appears may correspond to the “last week” that finishes the transgression in daniel 9. i believe the first half has already been fulfilled by Jesus (His 3 1/2 yr ministry while on the earth) so actually only half of that 7 daniel speaks of is on the calendar in my thinking. the devil’s man has a go at too in a 3 1/2 yr “ministry”, a “shortened time” that will kick off when God says so. not you, or me, or anybody else and it may turn out that it is a halfway in one of these 7 year ” agreements” between the eu and israel. they love to lay down “the rules” and dictate time. that is a big game the world plays and God can use their foolishness to His Own ends 🙂 i love that about the Lord. man never ever gets ahead of Him!
so we’ll see won’t we? i leave room in my heart and mind for the Lord to show me what He is doing. He doesn’t fail to instruct and warn His children like the Great Father He is.

i do believe the falling away of 2 thess is in full swing right now-is happening in realtime.. has been going on for a little while and with the pope’s visit in 2015 and his “all inclusive” take on “spirituality”, is working very well into the global one world governing system that the devil will come totally take over so i believe that has kicked everything into a higher gear. the man of sin is revealed after that. the little “, ” (comma) & the word “and” in verse 3 of 2 thess, show us that he-the son of perdition-will be revealed soon and not later. the falling away is sickening to watch. david wilkerson’s video that vic posted is telling it like it is about this very thing and why it is so powerful to compare the diluted (and deluded) message of “another jesus” of this apostate age and is so gripping. persecution always grows the church and persecution is going global. it is those who love God’s Word, love and worship the One True Lord of that Very Word, that can tell the great big difference. i know your heart is tender about these things too, tony. we are watching with earnest and there is much too see, but the Lord is still calling sinners to repentance-His message is still going out to the world, but sadly, few are takers. great tribulation may finally convince some yet, but the majority will follow the beast and false prophet. the Lord knows those who belong to him. and the wheat is among many many tares…..

I have been interested in this for several years as well. Can I point out that 70ad is indeed In New Testament times so it looks like there could be something to that. I also would like to mention I have also come to think that the covenant with many is made by Christ, not the anti Christ.
Also while I’m posting I’d like to say that I no longer believe in a revived Roman empire as the beast, but that the Roman empire, or EU is only but a small part of the beast system. Looks like the US is the main NWO military wing. (have you noticed that thru the US two kings have already been subdued (killed) and Syria could shortly be the next one? Not saying they are actual presidents but someone very powerful behind the scene is pulling the strings. The Deep State. Shadow Government, whatever you want to call it.)
The head of the beast may very well be headed up in current Israel, probably by a well known Satanic family. Not a very popular thing to say that’s for sure. Also, the majority of Jews today are not genetically descended from the Biblical Jews. Not a popular thing to say either. Read about the Khazars. Looks like Satan has pulled off a great big deception and has taken over more than we could ever have imagined.
Something I have also been looking into recently is the claim that the 10 lost tribes of Israel migrated from the Caucasus area into western Europe and spread from there like into America, Australia, Canada and South Africa, etc.. The historical and Biblical facts are overwhelming to consider. Lost sheep indeed!! And this would explain with ease the doctrine of foreknowledge and predestination. Glory!! His sheep hear His voice!

I agree with most of what you said. I find it difficult to see how the EU can have a army half as strong as the US. I cant see the EU make war with the beasts enemies without the help of the US/Nato. I keep my options open.
I just don’t agree with the lost tribes theory. As Christians we are all Abrahams children, so we don’t need to be so after the flesh. I see this theory as a deception so that even the Church will turn against the Jews and Israel. I really don’t care where my roots came from, as long as I know where my future is.

I don’t care where my roots are either but to think that my ancestors were the ones that were freed from Egypt, went thru the Red Sea, chased after false Gods and were divorced from God…shew! Makes the old wheels in the brain spin. Pleasantly.And wonderously. He did persue us. The lost sheep parables make sense and so many other things.
If Israel is true Israel today, they do not fulfill the promises of Abraham seed ….descendants shall become a multitude of nations……Will make you exceedingly fruitful….kings shall come forth of you……make your descendants as the sand of the sea….Will make you a great nation….and you shall be a blessing. The Church spiritualizes these verses but the question is: shouldn’t they be taken literal as well? Israel today would not and can not support herself today without millions of dollars of aid from the US. Why is that? If God has blessed them why can’t they support themselves? It doesn’t add up.
I’d like to say more but I have a grandbaby that needs some attention. 🙂

I think that the ‘he’ mysteriously refers to both Jesus and the counterfeit – adversary, in that this is the way we know that the prophetic story unfolds. So, by stating that, I would be inclined to further state that the first 3.5 years of daniels 70th week will actually play itself out twice. To me this out of the box way of looking at these words of prophecy, solves the problem of discrepancy over the verse or verses of dan.9:24-27

This same verse I always use on people who think they are the lost tribes and think that Israel are imposters.

Yes. Read the verse very carefully. Roll it around for awhile and meditate on it. It doesn’t prove that the House of Israel is not us and it doesn’t prove that the majority of Jews today are not imposters.
