DID THIS MORNING’S BLOOD MOON FUFILL PROPHECY? NO! More Reasons To Get Mad At Me, When You Should Be Getting Mad At The Other Guys!

I’m blown away with the amount of people who are falling for this blood moon obsession. The problem is few people actually take the time to read and reference their Bible. They are happy to let someone else TELL them what the Bible says, whether than read and study it for themselves.

Just a casual reading of the commonly pointed out passages about the blood moons would prove that this is NOT what happened today, or what happened back in April or what will happen next year with the next two blood moons!

Have YOU actually read the passages YOURSELF? Or are you like so many other Christians who let some preacher tell you what the Bible says and partially quotes a verse – most times, out of context – to prove his point.

Who do you believe about the blood moons? Some very famous TV preacher, “prophecy expert”, or the Lord Jesus Christ? Well, I’m sure you would claim you believe Jesus, but if you did, you would stop your silly notions about today’s blood moons being such a big prophetic thing. The blood moon that these guys are obsessed with is NOT the Biblical blood moons that the Bible warns about…

References to a moon like “blood” are found in two passages of the Bible. Let’s take a look at them, noticing that several other very serious things happen alongside the Biblical blood moon event:

Revelation 6:12-14 says, “And I beheld when he had opened the sixth seal, and, lo, there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and THE MOON BECAME AS BLOOD; And the stars of heaven fell unto the earth, even as a fig tree casteth her untimely figs, when she is shaken of a mighty wind. And the heaven departed as a scroll when it is rolled together; and every mountain and island were moved out of their places.”

Did you notice the events with this blood moon? A great earthquake, the sun goes dark, and the stars fall from the sky, and the heaven rolls back like a scroll. DID THIS HAPPEN TODAY? No! Did this happen last April? No! The events listed here are catastrophic events that will alter the planet earth! This will throw the earth into massive turmoil and will be followed by several other horrible events, all a part of the great tribulation. THAT DIDN’T HAPPEN TODAY! Nor did it happen last April!

The other passage quoted is from Joel…

Joel 2:10, 30–31 says, “The earth shall quake before them; the heavens shall tremble: the sun and the moon shall be dark, and the stars shall withdraw their shining…The sun shall be turned into darkness, and THE MOON INTO BLOOD, before the great and the terrible day of the LORD come…”

Notice the same set of events, earthquake, the sun darkened, and the stars fall – all of which happen right before the end of the world. Again, is this what happened with these current blood moons? NO! And next year’s blood moons won’t see these events either!!! How do I know?

Because Jesus tells us when this will actually happen!!

Jesus spoke of this event happening at the end of the world, following the events of the great tribulation! He tells us plainly in Matthew 24:29-30: “Immediately AFTER THE TRIBULATION OF THOSE DAYS the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light, and the stars will fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken. Then will appear in heaven the sign of the Son of Man, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.”

Here, Jesus indicates that these phenomena will take place at the end of the tribulation period shortly before He returns to Earth. Guess what? That didn’t happen today! Nor did it happen back in April! And it is impossible for the blood moons of next year to be this event our Lord was speaking of!!!

But one day this will happen. But it won’t be anything natural or normal. It won’t be like the blood moon that appeared early this morning. If the events above happened today, you can be certain – NO ONE would be sleeping through it!

Most of you were sleeping during the blood moon today! But you wouldn’t have if this was the blood moon Jesus was talking about! Your life and mine would be totally different today. No one would doubt this event was big time!

My advice is for some of you to stop following all these guys who are trying to sell books and DVDs, which end up getting donated to Goodwill. This blood moon fad right now is only going to last one more year, and then a new Christian fad will pop up to replace it and we will have another “dangling carrot” to keep the church moving into “greater revelation”.

  1. I agree. While these things happening may be very interesting and all that Israel can not even see them. OK to point out the greatness of God’s creation and all people need to wake up and accept Jesus. If these related to the feasts days of Israel you would think they could see them too. That seems illogical. Left behind is not biblical either.

  2. i’m not mad at anybody becausei guess i’ve missed what the big happening is supposed to be because of the blood moons. 😉 nobody i’ve listened to about it says anything specific is to happen. heard mark biltz about that a couple of years ago and never heard anything along that line. it is only one of the signs pointing-and a really big one!-to the time we are in so blood moon tetrad accompanys several current events on the world stage pointing to Jesus soon coming–specifically to watch carefully what happens regarding israel–The Super Sign! all the things all going on right now that are leading to the end of things as we have known them! we know the wheels are about to come off of everything so the global plan of the devil can commence. who is it that says something particular is to happen at the time of the blood moons? guess i’m not paying attention to those or i’d know already 😉

  7. Me thinketh you protesteth too much 🙂 First, their are Jews all over the world – not just in Israel. When Hamas sends a missile into Israel do they “see” it first? No! But they must ALWAYS be prepared! So must we. Blood moons are just a name – the signs in the skies are real! The way to know a “true prophet” is to see if his prophecies are true. If nothing significant happens in Israel, you have your answer. If something does happen, you still have your answer. Old Testament prophets did not see the birth of Jesus, but their prophecies were true because He was born. Abraham did not see his descendents like the sands of the sea, but it did happen. Instead of standing around debunking the revelations other scholars have, perhaps we need to be “preparing” for the imminent return of Christ and making sure that there is “oil in our lamps”! By the way, what ARE your credentials?

  14. Merrybee, your first remark was verbatim what I was thinking as i read this piece. That aside, the question that is the title of Muncy’s piece is beside the point regarding the significance of the blood moons. I don’t suppose that most of the people who believe the important events that have had a major impact in Israel and seem to be in near proximity to the blood moons of the 20th century which have been on or very near dates of the Feasts of the Lord, thought that the most recent blood moon was going to be accompanied by any catastrophic events. It seems to me that there’s a lot of overreaction to Biltz’s discovery and subsequent book. I can hardly wait to observe the commotion that is sure to be created by “Let the Lion Roar.”

  16. the false Christ heralded by false prophets. on the increase and turning up everywhere. but if we stay true to the Gospel we will be able to spot the deceptive message. getting the very Gospel wrong by adding to or taking away from the powerful simplicity of ephesians ch 2 as one for instance–even slight turns right or left can take people off track–proves that these are out to deceive because they end up mocking that Great Salvation to change it to fit man’s agenda and not God’s plan that has been revealed nowhere else but in His Word. and everything that is actually true to see out there will end up proving what God has already said beforehand. even tiny lies can be sown by the devil in fields of Truth so we must beware! we by faith know the Spirit is our teacher—thanks be to God for the Holy Spirit our guarantee–at home in our hearts will guide us safely Home. greater is HE that is in me, than he that is in the world. the trials we experience are to sharpen our understanding-sharpen our faith-so we must stay surrendered in our hearts to see in what lies nearest in our very circumstances that we have an Almighty God Who saves to the uttermost. those whom He saves and whom He keeps by imparting His Endurance to them—-come what may—not one word will return to Him void. we know Jesus Himself is called The Word. praise God for those precious promises given to us by Him Who paid our ransom in His Own Body and Blood. i love you all in Jesus. i’m glad to be watching and waiting with you 🙂

    “Those Days” he referenced were of Daniel 12.

    Looking at the end of Daniel 12 we find a total of 1335 of “Those Days”.

    Part of the reason for something that is a reoccurring event given by Christ and Joel is that several AODs have actually occurred…..call them layers, dimensions or partial fulfillments. Christ said “When You See”, Three words.
    1.When
    2.You
    3.See

    “When”, a Time Period that Could be Different from “When” Someone else, in a Different time period, experiences an Identical event ,or something that can be Understood as AN Identical event. (Such as THE Jerusalem surrounded by Armies EVENT)

    “You”, personally Experience Such AN Event……..Referring again to something “You” experience that Could occur at A Different time in History.

    “See”, Actual, Real Observation….When any Person Truly SEES, not just with the physical eyes, but with Real and True Spiritual understanding.

    That is why i say, WHEN, YOU, and SEE are very important words.

    The Dome of the Rock has Been an AOD for nearly 1335 Years, Can the People of God SEE IT YET?

    There is a Layer of Prophecy Right Before Our Eyes. Is it the Primary portion of that 1335 “day” prophecy? I don’t know, but it think it WILL Coincide WITH the Future AOD Layer of Actual 3.5 years.

  22. it’s 2014………(so in my mind) the final 3.5 is nearing…….all to finish in 2018?
    i didn’ t have exactly the numbers you highlight shorttribber (so thank you for sharing those) but my eye has been on 2017-18 for quite a while now because……..
    70 years-that is a 7 compounded (multiple layers of 7’s have already been happening 😉 )
    70 + (may 14) 1948 = 2018 a generation that “sees” a nation born in a day – israel in the land where the abomination has to happen – the transgression has to be finished – it is a time of gentile power that is fulfilling – add to that all the many many signs and the great falling away in full swing and blood moons on the high holy days (the last 2 tetrads were when israel had just become a nation and right after jerusalem was restored to jewish hands). prior to that the only tetrad to align with jewish high holy days happened about 500 years ago when the jews were expelled from spain in 1492. so things are lining up. are they ever!!! i do not go by the blood moons for exact calculation because they are only pointing to a near happening—do have significant things going on around them that are taking shape for the abomination of desolation to occur in a near timeframe…….but israel itself is the Sign! and we can see as britain gets ready in the news today i read from bro brian’s site — http://www.ynetnews.com/articles/0,7340,L-4580026,00.html — that the puzzle pieces are fitting to come together globally to punish israel for causing all of the world’s anx. when i read in the old testament prophecies and hear God mentioning abomination it centers around israel being overrun by enemies to make them flee the land and who also cruelly trample and takeover the sacred places (where God’s name is) to set up their own form of worship to go on there. (so there have been several abominations just like there are now several anti-christs looming large in the apostate religious scene with the actual one to be revealed not far at all behind). an international jerusalem (temple mount measured for their divided evil use) fulfills that understanding for me and close to doing that in the world right now right????? those with these evil designs are licking their chops for jerusalem!!! i have believed and said many times that there are layers upon layers of prophecy fulfilling that are happening simutaineously. undeniable in my book.
    i do not have exact dates etc (don’t need ’em) but i see what you are seeing too….
    it’s “adding” up for me 😉

    Not sure what you mean Hisown, I’m sorry I’m not understanding.
    My post and the link about the Temple Mount is just basically to draw attention to the 1335 day prophecy of Daniel 12.
    How it Could be a year for a day fulfillment since 683 (Dome of the Rock construction) and also a Literal 3.5 year future fulfillment that would end Near May 2018.

  25. i did not gather that from your post either shorttribber. i think the numbers you were presenting are good to consider so thanks for that. i think many times in Scripture-in the old testament-there are scenarios and numbers and examples showing us that they have a micro view (immediate and specific) and then to possibly be applied into a macro view-even global application. that is why prophecy makes me think of a symphony playing a simple beginning theme that comes around and around and in again and out again adding more layers and complexity in the music as it’s theme plays-sometimes softer and sometimes louder-but broader and broader until comes to it’s conclusion.

  28. i think that is the ‘heads-up’ for me too hisown. everything is pointing to this in my mind—a manifest of this taking form and shape that is becoming more discernible almost daily now. all the political wrangling (even terrorist goals ultimately have jerusalem in their sights) so that consensus is coming from all over the globe and is leading to the fulfillment of the passages you quote. we know the heavy lifting to get the world ready for the anti-christ is what our global economy and other panics in the world are to accomplish-the excuses in the current on-going and near complete dismantled world order so the way is made for the one who will takeover from the pit. Jesus has told us beforehand just like He told His disciples that He would die and then be raised to life again. they misunderstood for a time—but the Holy Spirit brought them clarity—that is true of us to a degree today in looking at prophecy too i think–but–the Holy Spirit is still the Promise that we have light in the darkest of times. light to see and light to illumine what things are are seeing (bringing us up to speed) and light to dispel darkness burning brightly against such blackness because Christ is revealed in His church. it is the persecuted church that adores her Savior-her LORD!!! walk in the light as He is in the light is our call from the Master and glorify His Name in obeying His Word. simple and profound a theme it is — the Song of the Ages. this fills my heart with Love for Jesus. hallelujah what a Savior ! /

I haven’t really had a chance to study what you’ve brought up here in this discussion, but I would be very cautious when studying these topics as presented by Seventh Day Adventist writers (gospel-herald). There is a large amount of non-biblical teaching included in SDA eschatology, and acceptance of a false prophet as an important teacher in their aberrant sect.

    The SDA background is not a concern for me, I’m only looking at correct parts in any teaching……that’s the best method for me…….what the Word of God CONFIRMS to be Truth in any teaching.

  40. yes what we must do often….and thankfully there are those here who are faithful to admonish that we go carefully-to chew the meat and spit out the bones. if people really want truth it will be presented (and sometimes where we don’t necessarily think it could come from 😉 ) so caution is good–accountability is good–but the Truth is the Highest Good and the goal. we know when we trust the Holy Spirit He will prove Himself vigilant in showing where the truth is buried as Scripture reveals Scripture and enlightens it for the seeker. many here are on that same path. in this day and age there are many times i’m finding when i must learn to better use a hand shovel rather than a bulldozer. 🙂

  42. Thank-you Mr Sheep for addressing the concern. It seems to me that no matter what is brought to the light as evil or deception, there will always be a justification for that. It pushes all the wrong buttons in me and I pray that we will heed the warning of God’s Word in these days of diabolical deception.

    I love this powerful warning from the Word of God when we deceive ourselves into thinking we can ” glean” any truth from a source that’s clearly a doctrine of demons.

    Ezekiel 14:4 Therefore speak unto them, and say unto them, Thus saith the Lord God; Every man of the house of Israel that setteth up his idols in his heart, and putteth the stumblingblock of his iniquity before his face, and cometh to the prophet; I the Lord will answer him that cometh according to the multitude of his idols;

    Jesus said that men would deceive and BE deceived in these end days.

    2 Timothy 3:13 But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived.

    I for one refuse to be enticed or drawn away into anything that the Lord has clearly warned that’s not from Him.

    This passage does not warn us, nor does it charge us against gleaning bits of truth from any source that is not perfect and inerrant Hisown.

    Yes, and we also can deceive ourselves into thinking we serve God best by discarding Any Truth that is taught by an inerrant person or belief system.

  51. dear hisown i do not fault your heart. however words can go overboard. i thought it overkill because no wrong doctrine was shown to be present or promoted yet the statement such as this: ” It seems to me that no matter what is brought to the light as evil or deception, there will always be a justification for that.” and the ezekiel 14:4 quote i felt was directed at shorttribber and myself. if we are not careful-yes we could be deceived–but wrong doctrine did you see or read in the article that was posted by shorttribber that would have led to deception? i read something very similar to that from another source (solid baptist publication actually) years ago that said basically the same thing. it was a good teaching–as is the piece posted above. if there was a problem doctrinally it could have been brought out and discussed but Scripture came out to criticize (i felt) instead. the source was immaterial. (even a broken clock is right twice a day). the point of the article was the point. truth is truth wherever we find it and only God corners that market amen? that was why i responded with my words and i really did try to say it to you as a sis but if they were wrong or too strong then i am sorry also and i love you because that is what we do right? for Jesus’ sake i’ll make the effort to be more careful with my responses.

    Paul rebuked Peter publicly as well as Demas and Alexander the coppersmith and am wondering what has now caused us to call discernment ” unloving or unkind”? Have we started to compromise in our faith or have we allowed in a little leaven? I say that in much agape love and concern.

  53. already spoke to that in saying you thought me (us) justifying a ministry when clearly that was addressed hisown. only the piece posted was approved in my mind not a whole ministry which i do not endorse. apparently you lumped the whole thing and called it wrong on our part and quoted a verse to imply that we could be given to idols in this. if that is not what you meant that is fine. i felt it important in the posts previous that anyone know what was separated in my thinking but that was not good enough for you. did you read the piece shorttribber posted and find error or did you only see what you disapproved of in a source without reading it and called it deception? implying the promotion of deception by justifying a ministry that does have several unbiblical traits by myself (and shorttribber)?
    love drives me too. God knows. 🙂 love for Him and His Word-the Truth and only the Truth–above what i think…..or you too…anyone for that matter.

    The days are dark and diabolical, let’s walk as children of the light that this day won’t overtake us.

    I believe we are about to experience the next birth pang and was mentioning this to another sister in Christ as we see a pattern emerging { I despise that word } We’ve started to take some serious notes round about the 27th of May this year. There seems to be this cycle developing as we wait for the next one. I mentioned yesterday that it’s coming up to the end of November and round about the same time of the next anticipated shift { sorry to use that word as I despise it as well } but that’s about the only way one can describe the change we are all seeing.

    My heart and spirit is crushed as I witness many been given over to the strong delusion.Sad thing is they think they’re doing God a service. Deceived and BEING deceived seems to be the order of the day lately! I’m wide eyed and bushy tailed {trust me it shows } and have to place both hands over my mouth right now.Please pray that the Lord give me wisdom when to open my mouth and when to shut it 🙂

    Every single born again believer that I know personally { those who I’ve watched over the years and who’s faith is true and not a lie } have answered the very same way when I posed them this question. ” Are we in it ” yay or nay”.     I can’t bear to watch it Tony. The images that flash across the TV screen’s at the gym I frequent are disturbing enough. There’s a reason why the Lord commends us to think on those things that are holy and pure especially now as we’re witnessing events escalating daily.Sad thing is those that are wicked are becoming more wicked and in a act of rebellious defiance { plain ol pride } they still refuse to repent! Why is that? No need to answer that I already have the answer 🙂

    It’s amazing what lengths a person will go to justify their rebelliousness and sinfulness. It’s fascinating how these even have the audacity to use the name of the Lord, declaring they’re doing God’s will yet everything they do goes contrary to biblical living. Go figure! Deceiving and being deceived.

Shorty, I pray that you’re not dabbling into the ministries of the SDA – as it is a very dangerous doctrine, whether you take bits and pieces from it or not. We must remember that All False Doctrines have an element of truth to them – that’s how those who teach from it’s False messages are able to deceive.
