Prime Minister Netanyahu once again acknowledges the fulfillment of Bible prophecy

This popped up in my facebook feed this morning from Joel Rosenberg:

Netanyahu declares to world leaders: “In our time the Biblical prophecies are being realized.”

I think it’s fascinating that God would put a man in leadership over Israel who is well versed, and seems to be becoming more well versed in scripture. While it seems he does not know Christ- he is seeking God in the scriptures which is a good start. I would love to be a fly on the wall on the dark night of the soul for Mr. Netanyahu if God should choose to reveal the identity of the messiah to him in someplace like Isaiah 53. I guess I’d love to be a fly on a the wall in any place where someone is having their savior revealed to them for the first time – what a joyful moment that is for us that are in Christ!

Anyway, we all speculate here that soon Mr. Netanyahu will have many more scriptures to point to that illustrate how God’s promises are sure – and how is blessing on Abraham’s descendants will not be broken.

  1. I love Bibi as well, have a very soft spot for him and my prayer is that he will soon come to realize that America is NOT God!!

    Why was God wroth with Saul?

    His life is serious lesson to me in refusing to TRUST in men or to OBEY men OVER the Lord’s voice. Pretty serious result and sad consequence in a man’s life that was once king.

    And Saul said unto Samuel, I have sinned: for I have transgressed the commandment of the LORD, and thy words:—————>>>>>> because I feared the people, and obeyed———–>their voice.

    Idolatry is serious and God HATES it!

    You greatly bless me with your post. This past Sunday an elder in our church, and a dear friend gave the sermon on this very passage. Still searching my own heart for the ways I have habits, a heart, and hope like Saul.

  3. imagine this ,…You find out and come to realize that Bibi is,….one of them! you’d be like, ” but wait, it can’t be, it just can’t be”. its possible ya know! not to say…. just bringing up a point to consider while we move into end time deception!

  4. It is possible for any person we know if you put it that way. We don’t know what is in the heart of a man – only God knows that for sure. The same could be said for that guy in our bible study, our pastor, our otherwise christian seeming relative, etc. We can observe the overflow of a man’s heart in what he says, and the fruit he bears – whether it be good fruit from the Lord or bad fruit from something else.

    As far as I can tell, Bibi is not a fellow believer and therefore has no access to the Holy Spirit and exists in an unregenerate state. What I am saying though is that he acknowledges scripture, and appears to trust that God will keep his promises to Israel. While that is incomplete for salvation, it is certainly a step in the right direction. It is also somewhat unique and rare among recent leaders of Israel none of which handled old testament scripture as frequently and properly as Bibi does.

    We should be praying for all our leaders that they will be wise and seek God for wisdom – we should pray or the leaders of our countries and the leader of Israel that they will know the peace the passes understanding that comes in no one but the person of Jesus Christ.

Sheep. it has been stated that bibi is a 33rd degree mason [freemason], which sometimes makes me wonder if he is acting his part really well to deceive all who watch. i’m suspicious of freemasonry,…and one could say that, it sounds like a personal problem tony. i just wonder??? / Either way, God is in control and its ultimately His plan, that will unfold. Maybe you can see my point more so now, with that said. Do you also have suspicions about leaders of nations that are connected with freemasonry?, if its even true,…..one never knows.

    We really do try not to promote questionable teachers/teachings over here. The SDA burden people with the law, keeping the sabbath, teaching that the mark of the beast is Sunday worshipers like us normal Christians and some other strange stuff, I also don’t suggest that SDA’s are not saved. I do know wonderful people serving Jesus with passion in that organization, but there are very much mislead people believing that by worshiping on Saturday guarantees them a place in heaven.

    We must rather get our info from more reliable sources.

  7. Amen – We don’t look to teachers for wisdom who otherwise twist scriptures or look to other extra biblical sources like a modern day prophet or pope who adds or takes away from the words of scripture.

    The Holy Spirit reminded me of this verse He gave me for another cult { the one Vic and I were saved from } the JW’s when I read this last night.

    These people make men 2 fold MORE a child of hell than themselves!

  9. Like Saul was in 1 Samuel 15 we are all able to be tempted to add to or take away from the Words that God has revealed to us, or to listen to the words of men over God. The difference with Saul is that he gave himself over to it and never showed any sign of repentance from it. Let that passage be a lesson to us – there are consequences for disobedience, even partial disobedience (Saul had the kingdom taken from him for it).

    If we are concerned that we are listening to God over men and constantly examining our lives for areas of disobedience and fostering relationships where we can be appropriately encouraged as we confess our sins, repent of unrighteousness and pray for one another – that is a very good sign that we are obeying the prompting of the Holy Spirit in us. I don’t think this group is a very good place to accomplish that since we are all very far apart geographically and it is not possible or appropriate to try to share amount of our lives it takes to accomplish this. This is another reason I implore all of those who read and post here to do the hard work of finding a local fellowship of believers that are seeking to grow in their walk with the Lord through the study and application of his word to each of their lives.

  10. kinda like trust but verify. accountability is a good thing. a healthy thing….a right function of a local fellowship that upholds the Truth in Love–God’s Word the Bible-the Whole Counsel of God in those 66 books-as the Final Word on any and every subject brought up among people. i am so thankful for my pastor and church family for these very things.

  11. i don’t necessarily go along w any of it,…i have many friends and we compare notes so to speak and over the years i have checked out many interpretations of biblical truth. I have never once gave into going to a seventh day or jehevohs wittness service or mormon church etc…i read many books on cults and christian apologetics and my average or perhaps less than average? intelligence level mind of mine, with prayer and fellowship and bible studies is what it is! i feel as though there is a reason the Father has allowed me to be where i am at and who i am.???? i don’t worship Walter Veith but i admire his research and i am attracted to it to some extent. like i said before, to me , in my world, come rain or shine, the LOVE of GOD is REAL. i trust that i am in His hands and i want to be transparent in who i am and openminded within the context of what and WHO i have placed my faith in; ” JESUS”. I do not wish to be a trouble maker or wish necessarily to make waves,…but to challenge myself and my contacts with that which i think is worthy of considering. i listen to your all respones – and i love and respect you ALL – but i have a mind of my own and i need to deal with it. i may come across as ? foolish at times? or stubborn?, or lazy? or slow? or blind?,….but one day fullness will have its way with me; the fullness of GOD the FATHER thru Christ by way of the Holy Spirit of TRUTH. i too will emerge from my cucoon, with a glorified body and Complete ” newness of life “! …as for nopw, me and sam,whoops i mean maggie/sam walk in the way of a substantial healing [miracle], in a level of Newness of Life in connection with HIS EVERLASTING [sure as eggs is eggs] LOVE! believe me as you know,….All things work out for Good as we walk in FAITH. If I wasn’t clear above, Tony – I pray that you would find a church even a small one that meets in back room somewhere it doesn’t matter – where the Bible is preached and it is lead by men of integrity who put obedience to scripture far an above anything else. Even from where I sit at this keyboard very far away – my fear is that you are making yourself more vulnerable to the schemes of the evil one by not being in regular fellowship with other brothers and sisters that can point you toward the truth.

    I would avoid any teaching from Walter Veith – he may sound good but is a wolf who is misleading his flock.

    My heart and prayers go out to you. I know you are searching. I have been there and I am still there. I have made posts on this site that got me into huge debates and trouble. Sometimes I even had the temptation of hitting the delete button on this blog because I have felt so alone in how I see things. But that will never happen!

    I am telling you this so that you can understand that I (we) are not trying to find fault with you. I want us all to learn together. I would rather want you to discus your questions over, than to not talk about it at all. If myself or Rob maybe delete a link or comment, we will tell you why it is in error according to us.

  18. yes dear tony–for each other 🙂 pastor chuck was a humble man of a simple but deep faith in Jesus-an obedient walk is the legacy he leaves behind. i pray for the Lord’s comfort for his family and church family though i know they are smiling through tears at the thought of him with Jesus. i attend a calvary chapel church and am so very blessed that through the leadership of pastor chuck the book by book chapter by chapter verse by verse way of teaching has brought me so very much closer to the Lord-that changed my walk with the Lord like i cannot describe so i praise the Lord for that all the time! i’m still learning and growing myself. i won’t be perfect till i’m with Jesus too but it means a lot to have people who are for us as we journey on this narrow way-the narrow way of the Cross of our Great Savior. vic thank you for always being that “come along side” brother of encouragement who is so careful to rightly divide God’s Word. there are many here of that same heart and each is a blessing.

  21. I agree Bibi’s recognition of biblical prophecy is a step in the right direction.One feels we live in prophetic times.

    It sure is lovely to come back here, and find tou all busy encouraging, correcting, and building each other up in our most precious faith.
    I appreciate the love and the obedience displayed in many of your comments. (Vic,so glad you haven’t hit the delete button on the blog!)

    I also believe it of utmost importance we find ourselves some (small) fellowship for accountability and ‘commubion’. The Lord has blessed me with a couple of sisters, and we mostly ‘commune’ over the phone. That suits my situation well, since I am house/bedbound a lot.
    (Am also part of a local curch, but haven’t found much of that same, precious fellowsip there – even though I love the people.I actually find more of that sweet fellowsip here!)

    Cab I ask you brothers and sisters to pray for me (once again)?
    I find mtself getting worse and worse, with still more debilitating fatigue, brain fog and pain. I am actually quite low right now. For myself, God can do what He wants. Let Him be glorified in all. But I feel for my husband, and family. Am I to become more and more handicapped, and less and less able to live ‘a normal life’, where even the basic day to day life is deeply affected?

    Well,,.whatever brings rhe Lord glory – I bow myself to it. May He accomplish His work in me. Forgive me Lord, for complaining. But right now it’s a heavy load.

  25. On topic, I also want to say, after listening through Netanyahu’s speech: It was very good – historic. He didn’t mention God once, though, as I can recall. Only about ‘the heritage of the Maccabees’ etc.
    I hope and pray, that he will come to realize just how central God was/is to the rebirth of his nation – a fact he now thanks former generations for.
    (Indirectly, though, he implies God, since he quotes prophecy as being fulfilled in our time. Yay!)

    Another thing: he reminds us that he is willing to make painful concessions, for the sake of peace. All credits for that. Any concessions at all from the other side?
    Well, yes, maybe: one hostage in return for a thousand terrorists…)

    However, it concerns me, that there may be (there is) one man lined up, who can make that elusive peace happen – and he will not be the true Messiah of the Jews. (But will most probably be mistaken for Him. At least by many.)

    Please know that you are constantly in my heart and prayers as well and KNOW that when you are at your weakest that is when Christ is the most strongest in your life! I love that.

    Also guys I can’t seem to shake the concern I have for how we ” appease man” in our patting them on the back and giving them a false assurance that -“hey it’s okay with your soul ” when it is not. We avoid the uncomfortableness of verses like 1 Corinthians 6:9-10
    “Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God” and cower down to the pressure of being ” polite and non confrontational’ Yet Christ reserved his harshest rebuke for the RELIGIOUS! I’ve had to address this issue this past week and am deeply grieved at how ” blind” a religious person really is. The religious pride oozes out like a cancerous sore 😦 not only that is AFFECTS everything it touches! Sorry for the vent!!

    I’ve met so many people in my walk with the Lord that have said the ” sinner’s prayer ” in some emotional one time display at a church altar call and have been horrified at the fruit that they bear and the lives they continue to live. The saddest of all this is how they chant verses to justify their idolatry and the false ” image ” they have created in their minds.Does not the Word of the Lord exhort us to pluck them out of the fire? HATING their garments?

    For the past month or so the Lord has been teaching me on a* specific verse and have only come to understand the fulness of what it’s saying now.This was the verse my mother quoted me the night before her death and the reason it was so powerful to me was the fact that she was a JW and DID NOT look to Christ as the One that saved her from her sins………. but she did that night 😉 She blurted out out in a joyous yell, ” Coll it is ONLY the blood of Jesus that can save me IF I AGREE with Him of how lost I really am” !!!

    Guys what does it mean to REASON WITH GOD about your sins.{ EVEN after we become born -again } Think about that for a moment.I would like to get some feed back on what you guys think and will hold back from sharing what He is showing me on that. I LOVE IT 🙂

    These verses were my reading for this morning and found them to be quite fitting.

    Can you imagine that our act of worship can become a ABOMINATION to the Lord, it’s because He TRIES the hearts of men and abhors the FALSEHOOD that is hidden from others but KNOWN to Him!

    “To what purpose is the multitude of your sacrifices unto me? saith the LORD: I am full of the burnt offerings of rams, and the fat of fed beasts; and I delight not in the blood of bullocks, or of lambs, or of he goats.   27. Thank you, Colleen, for your precious, sisterly concern. This is what happens when the true body of believers (the curch that Christ Himself is building, out of all tribes, tongues and nations) functions in His love!

    It must be so special to have a hope of one day seeing your mother again, and to know she probably ‘got it’ at the very end, by the grace of God. I pray for similar last minute, ‘villain on the cross’ experiences of Grace for my own relatives – although I would love it if they ‘got it’ here and now!

    It’s amazing how the topics on this site ‘just happen to coincide’ with the discussions on our Swedish forum! Just now, we’ve touched on the difference of ‘sinning occasionally’ (and being brokenhearted about it), and of ‘sinning continually’ – making sin a lifestyle. Apparently the difference comes out clearly in original Greek, but is often obscured in translations?

    Thank you also Colleen, for bringing renewed light and understanding to ‘plucking them out of the fire, abhoring their garments’. Yes, religiosity may in fact be our enemy number one. We (religious mankind) so desperately want to do something to feel good about ourselves!
    Salvation can only come when we ‘reason with God’, or when we agree with Him, that there is absolutely no saving ourselves, in any way.

    Those garments, if we possess any, must also burn.
    We can never be clothed in anything but HIS righteousness.

    I believe I linked to a documentary on the Amish a while ago? There we have a shining example of people wanting to ‘live right’, with both ‘suspenders and belt’, so to speak. A noble goal, one should think. (It even had me longing for a simpler life, for a moment, away from ‘the world’ and all its distractions… Wouldnt it be wonderful… No, wait, I still got myself to deal with – idyll ruined!)
    What becomes the fruit of this kind of legalism?

    We have another example, closer to home, in those (often with a Word-of-Faith background?) involved in different levels of ‘the Hebrew roots movement’. It sounds good, and there may even be a deal of good in it, but what becomes the fruit, once some (Gentile background believers) start observing the Sabbath, the Jewish feasts, and certain selected food-related rules? Do we not soon see a ‘new and improved’ version of Christianity?

    Where will it end? Will the demands of (self-)righteousness ever be satisfied? How will the ‘rooters’ categorize themselves? And other believers (not observing the Sabbath, and still loving their ham sandwiches)?

    There is a reason why religiosity is so dangerous, and we may find it ‘in our own backyard’, so no need to throw stones very far here. Each ‘camp’ is in danger of setting up their own ‘rules of righteousness’.
    God, have mercy!

  28. yes. the joel olsteen version for example. no repentance-no agreeing with the Spirit of God’s conviction of sin necessary. so of course that is hell’s version of the gospel which is no Gospel at all–no Power to save whatsoever. the Word says–examine yourselves–to see-to know if you are in/of the faith. how many are doing the mental ascent to the Gospel but no change in their hearts…..heartbreaking.

    this is what you were typing at the same time as me ingela. very same thoughts in what we express in agreement with hisown’s post. i have family in this very circumstance too. some are cold as can be-some are lukewarm- oh how my heart is broken for them….because they love their sin, they have no broken-heartedness–no agreeing with Holy God—no salvation. period. this is ‘another gospel’ that people are banking on. no repentance toward God and no faith in the Sinless Son of God. i cry out to God – oh God save now.

  32. Thank you, Tony. That’s very sweet. (I suppose you have your own struggles, as do all of us.)

    Today has been a ‘heavy day’ for me, as far as my physical health is concerned. I’ve felt more like my ninety year old grandma, than my real fourty-someting-or-other. Heavy, depleted, and depressed.
    But somehow, Iv’e seen how the Lord has brought me clarity (my stubborn brain fog nonwithstanding), as I’ve participated in some forum discussions. Hopefully, HIS strength becomes more apparent in our utmost weaknesses…

    I’ve also ben blessed with a lovely (long awaited for) heart-to-heart with a close family member. There is evidence of God stirring in their heart – halleluya, prayers answered!

    We can never know from the way a day begins, just how it will end.
    Tears in the morning – yet joy in the evening! Thank you Jesus. Trusting in You never fails.

    And yet, these people have popishly been declared ‘saved’ and ‘welcome into God’s family’! How can we know or judge that – except by observing the fruits of repentance, regeneration and sanctification? How dare we just declare someone ‘saved’ at all? A question to ponder.

    (I know I’ve been guilty of this bummer mistake myself. Thinking it to be ‘helpful’. But no more!)

  34. André, one example of this ‘mental assent’ would be the ‘Alpha’ course. I just realized, you are basically asked to mentally assent to the presentation of ‘the gospel’, and then – without repentance or regeneration – there is a ‘Holy Spirit Weekend’ scheduled, where participants, saved or otherwise, are encouraged to ‘experience something’, and even to ‘speak in tongues’, which many, with some coaxing, seem able to acheive!

    “Welcome into the family…!?”

    What kind of ‘church planting strategy’ lies behind this deceptive strategy? Could it be the ‘paint by numbers’ technique?

  40. tony i think you are way off. ever get a “lump” in your throat in an overwhelming thought? we only agree with hisown that what God gave us freely is a Great Salvation-not some cheap “grace” that men manufacture. but though Salvation is free it does cost something–the foregoing of our self-centered self-absorbed pride-that is the repenting part that cannot-should not-be ignored. pride thinks it earns the right-humility/brokenness realize the greatness of His Gift so freely given and undeserved. pride needs to bow and humility is on it’s face before such Mercy. pride does not sorrow over sin-contriteness does. that is all we are saying. perhaps tony it would be better to reread rethink and pray before just responding. don’t want to come across wrong here and this is making me think that maybe i’ve shared too much or just poorly. if so then please accept my i’m sorry. will try to be more careful.

    As to the ‘egg in the throat’ sensation – I knew what you were saying, André, because I’ve been there too. I can sometimes feel physically ill for the sort of reasons you describe.

    But it’s ‘funny’ you should mention it right now, because I really HAVE been feeling as if an egg (or a golf ball, or something – the classic ‘ostrich swallows large object’ picture) lodged in my throat! It’s been really uncomfortable for a couple of weeks, and it must be some kind of throat infection…

    Vic do you recall that e-mail we discussed{ many moons ago} about ” something evil cometh our way ” ? well it feels as if this darkens is about to descend upon our globe. I wanted to say ” land” but this is not our land or our home.I’m armed and ready with the Word of God and have my ear close to His chest to hear His sweet small voice and what it is that the Spirit is saying.I pray that the Lord will lead and guide us all to heed what He is preparing us to witness.

    Pastor Brian’s update yesterday was one of the most powerful he has written and loved how he noted the difference between ” religion and relationship ” how the world is set on destroying God’s own because we place HIM FIRST in our lives. Hey by the way most of those that hate us are the ” religious ” Pastor { just in case you read here at Vic’s braaipit } 🙂

  53. Yes Tony many are enslaved. It’s a heart issue and I believe the Lord has given ” space” for repentance and was once again reminded of a verse the Holy Spirit affirmed though a pastor friend in 2008.

    But ye have set at nought all my counsel, and would none of my reproof:

    I also will laugh at your calamity; I will mock when your fear cometh;
