Worldwide 100 million Christians are persecuted for their faith in Jesus.
Every year, Open Doors publishes the World Watch List, illustrating the countries where Christians are most persecuted. The Open Doors World Watch List is the only annual survey of religious liberty conditions of Christians around the world. It measures the degree of freedom of a Christian to live out their faith in five areas of life – private, family, community, congregation and national life, plus a sixth element measuring the degree of violence.
In 2012, Christians in Nigeria, Iraq and Syria experienced the most violence, closely followed by those in Sudan and Columbia. In Eritrea, Myanmar, Kenya and Egypt the levels of anti-Christian violence were also extremely high.
North Korea remains the most nightmarish state in which to practice Christianity in the world today, taking out the top spot for the 11th year in a row. However, the 2013 Open Doors World Watch List also highlights the most significant persecution trend of 2012 as a rise of Islamism in every country that experienced the Arab Spring. This has resulted in massively increased pressure on large parts of the church in the Middle East and North Africa.
The trends are not uniformly gloomy however. In the Far East, with the exception of North Korea, the communist states have all marginally improved their treatment of Christians. Laos, Vietnam and China have all moved down the list.
Dropping out of the list this year, for various reasons, are Chechnya, Turkey, Cuba, Belarus and Bangladesh.

This is a huge eye opener. I sincerely hope that the pre-trib camp will read this and realize that persecution is a reality and current for the body of Christ. 100 million divided by 2 billion is 5% of all Christians.
100 million is 66% entire population of Russia. Thats quite a few people.
May God come quickly and vindicate them all, if their captors refuse forgiveness.

..not to cause strife or division, but Paul McGuire pointed out that not all of those[ by any means ] who are in pre-trib camp are under some impression that there will not be any persecution of christians before the rapture., before lift-off, there will be in fact massive suffering and killing of Gods flock as the Beast apparatus is being put in place and ready to go full force. i address this to you Vic with respect to your comment about pretribbers and the trib. What do you think of McGuires view and do you know of the late Dr. Francis Schaeffer [theologian] and his incredible research books, whom McGuire has high regards for. Schaeffer has done extensive research on the days of romes persecution, etc,…. “How then must we live” is one book of his. Escape from reason” is another……..He also wrote a book called, “A Christian Manifesto”. Hes a Christian author,/ researcher, like no other, imo.//////All i’m obviously saying is that just because someone is inclined towards the pre-trib stance doesn’t mean that they are living in a fairy tale imagining they are 100 percent going to be free of Persecution, or even Death.

Yes, there are some pre-trib teachers who are expecting to go through tribulation and are preparing and warning the flock. My comment is addressed to those who expect to be raptured out before any kind of suffering and tribulation will befall them. Sadly there are many who are only expecting their “best life now”.

Yes Tony there are many that are waking up to the reality of where we are at and the time we’re in but sadly they still adhere to the { false } notion that we are not going to be here during the time of tribulation.

Tony, the Lord has had many of us in “training” for the past few years so that we are able to STAND fast in these days of great evil.
Once Satan is cast out and the PIT is opened up it is going to be spiritual chaos and the lessons we have had to go through were all part of our ” boot camp”. { Revelation – Chapter 9.}

Revelation chapter twelve, from the First to the Last Word is D.I. number three. It is also my favorite chapter in the entire Bible.
The first day I visited this forum and became a member I started a thread about this chapter and it was very enjoyable for me but I never really was able to finish because we all got sidetracked some by Daniels 70th week discussions.
Here and now I’ll share what I believe without any doubt what so ever to be the truth contained in Rev12.
vs 1 Eve is represented by the woman
vs 2 Eve’s offspring Israel travails in labor with their PROMISED seed.
vs 3 Satan (the Loser)…….notice he has not received any damage to one of his heads YET.
vs 4 The fallen angels who left their habitation in an attempt by Satan (the Loser) to pollute the PROMISED seed of Eve.
And pictured here is the Loser’s attempt to destroy Christ through king Herod.
vs 5 The PROMISED seed comes, CONFIRMS…..THE…..PROMISE, bruises the Loser’s head and returns to His Father and His throne.

vs 10 Ok, here is where the rubber meets the road and we as saints and servants of God put OUR (Christ’s and our) TESTIMONY into shoe-leather. This will be a battle-ROYAL……literaly……for the KINGDOM and WE WIN!
vs 11 Here is where He CONFIRMS us as KEEPERS of HIS COVENANT, this is when we have the faith….OF….Jesus.

It is Pre tribulation. Shorttribber the Restrainer is the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit has to be taken out of the way before the man of sin can be reviled. The Antichrist will not be revieled until then. No Obama is not the antichrist. Anyway no time to argue on here because Jesus is coming anytime now and like He has recently told somebody the other day His Father wants to shut the door now and Jesus said He can plead no more. i heard a guy say that the 2 witnesses are Israel and the Church. me, i don’t know. This guy is Fred P. in connection with http://www.antipasministries.com,….all i know of Fred is that he has the love of God to offer and to him, i feel overwhelmingly indebt. He handles the word of God, skillfully. i say this without any exaggeration at all. When i say that he listens well and really hears what your saying, its true,..and he responds scripturaly so as to bless you with Gods word.

Jesus told someone that the Father is about to shut the door? you mean with the pre-trib rapture?
Leanne there has been a cry going forth out {for a very long time now} for TRUE REPENTANCE and SPACE was given unto men to turn from their wicked ways yet there is still a DEFIANT refusal to CONFESS or CONFRONT sin. The saddest part is, these call ” Jesus Lord”! Why is that?
Is it possible that we are already in the strong delusion because many HATE the hard and difficult sayings of God’s word. I fear so yes! They just love the ear’s to be tickled right 😉

I would really love for you all to read one/some/all of the articles. Finley has to my understanding received a lot of clarity over the grand themes of Scripture, and he paints a narrative picture that weaves together biblical ‘incidents’ and themes into a weft, where it all comes together beautifully.

The separate descriptions of “Joshua” and “Zerubbabel” apparently give us clues about some aspects of the lives of the two people who will be called by God to be the two witnesses in the latter days. If not, why would God tell us in Revelation 11 that the two witnesses are the “two olive trees” and then give us specific information in Zechariah 3-4 about the two individuals personified in these roles?

Could it be it to present us as a chaste virgin, a bride without spot or wrinkle ? I believe so yes. The FIREY trials are burning away the “chaff” in our lives so that we will stand BLAMELESS at the appearing of our Messiah. He is burning away the dross sin in our lives and every selfish, ungodly, hidden agenda. This is done to present us pure and UNDEFILED before God the Father.
I welcome the ” false brethren, traitors, vipers, provocateurs and the wolves in sheep clothing ” in my life as they are God’s SHAPING tool to test how I will react to every painful situation and besides these are the vessels of wrath fitted to destruction anyways . Beloved , a call for a SOS prayer.
The Lord placed a very wealthy Jewish woman in my life a few weeks ago and allowed me to witness of her of what is of MORE value and the Messiah I call Jesus.
She was very receptive and allowed me to pray in the name of Jesus Christ. She shared photo’s of her beautiful daughter and the medical genius she is{ she’s a brain surgeon}. She just called a few minutes ago and shared that she has just tragically died. I don’t have the details and covet your prayers for Rosanna.
I read her the words of Christ and ask that these will NOT return void. Please lift her up in prayer. She is devastated. My heart is agonized and pray that the Holy Spirit will work through me to comfort in a way only He can.
Please pray that I will be of any use as vessel of His love and that HE will be glorified by the comfort He brings.

Friends,
a sleepless night, and a visit here, to read some precious comments on the trials of our (and others’) lives. I feel almost embarrassed to ask for prayers. But my husband and I really need it right now. For something as mundane as selling our house. It is all set to happen this coming week, and we are extremely exhausted.
I already have my illness, but I’m really concerned for my husband, that he may be teetering on the brink of burnout. We both feel almost ‘numb’ emotionally, and to top it off we are now both ill as well…
Please, pray for the Lord’s sovereign hand in all of this. That all will go well with the sale, and that the right family will buy the house . And that God will help us stand up straight.

I appreciate the Prayers so much, my aunt Maxine is doing some better, she qualified for a new chemo treatment, they said she had to have a certain type gene which she did, she has finished her radiation and is getting ready to start the chemo.. My sis in law Trisil is much worse, she is swelling badly now, her kidneys are failing and she is having problems breathing, please Pray that Gods will be done with her, both are saved. Thank you..

this is off the subject…..but I’ve been waiting for the time to bring this up.
This could have been mentioned on the Communion painting thread but I thought I may be overlooked since it’s a few threads back now.
Anyway…..I waited until now to mention something about the painting that is very interesting.
It doesn’t really surprise me that no one has noticed without my first mentioning it here, I didn’t know about it myself until about 5 or so years after I did the painting when a person pointed it out to me.
If you go back and look at the painting again you’ll see two very distinct images/faces.
One is just below and to the Right of Christ…………the other…….is lower and to the Left of Christ.
The First image I’ve mentioned is actually Two images in One………you may first notice that the face is looking nearly straight forward but slightly turned to the left and then you may notice that the same face is also seen as an exact profile facing to the left………some folks see the profile first and then the other that faces nearly straight on.
The image to the Right of Christ is what appears to be that of Our Father in Heaven.
The profile appears to be Staring the Loser Down.
The image to the Left of Christ is of the Loser……..it appears a very dark ominous and almost serpent-like face with large scull-like looking eye sockets and a broad slim lipped mouth and flattened nose. the mouth of the Loser is nearly touching the alter of incense.
The reason, it seems to me that comments ended somewhat abruptly on the that thread is maybe because some here may have mixed feelings about the vision, and the whole Ron Wyatt thing…..and have thought it best not to comment rather than say something negative.
Ok, why do I bring it up now? Again, let me reiterate, about WHAT the Ark of the Covenant…………AND………….the Tabernacle…………..MAY be A Part of…… what COULD happen…………SOON.
Did the images just HAPPEN to end up in that painting? Or did God Prove HIS HAND in it?
Any other explanation really defies logic or reason.
The Truth is that Ron’s Discoveries ARE REAL…….God WILL Continue to Prove that He is very Satisfied and Comfortable to use Imperfect Vessels, even if WE are Uncomfortable by His Choice to do so.

The scripture says…”No man hath seen God, and lived” Moses saw God, and died, very much to himself.
So also did Paul and died to himself, Stephen saw God the Father and Christ at his right hand. Many saw Christ, who IS God, after His resurrection.

And just gave a brief list of those that had Seen God…….your reference being John 1:18 or Ex 33: 20.
My understanding of Either of these verses is that NO MAN has SEEN God FULLY/COMPLETELY/ABSOLUTELY…………….Other than the Son of God, Who IS Coeternal WITH Him.

Girls, I believe we turned that corner a while back 😦 The saddest of all this is there are “Christians” that believe there is a massive OUTPOURING of the ” spirit” coming and sound very much like these new-agres. shorttribber. i will have to go back and look closer at the picture that was painted. i read ezekiel 1-3 this morning and was impressed that what he saw was both specific and non-specific at the same time and i wondered about what you saw and then painted that it was somewhat that kind of experience also–things to hard to describe to put down yet having some “form” to it to make it what a finite mind would able to grasp in what is portrayed to be about spiritual details being understood more than what one sees with our human eyes. i do not want to step outside of the Written Word (the 66 books of the Bible) to interpret anything–from anybody–but if something is in keeping with the Word of God then whatever that thing is will manifest somewhere what the Written Word is saying though not actually included in that canon-like a parallel to it-not aside away from it. there are modern day dreams and visions because the Holy Spirit was promised (joel ch 2) and-we know-He did come as the early church is testament of-and the church is yet in that church age of Grace–the Spirit Alive and Active–let the reader understand…..God continues to manifest His Word-and-His-Ways-(that always refer back to what He has written) for the believer to know that God is Able to carry His church through every era of human history. in hebrews it says that God spoke through His prophets and then finally and exclusively through His Son—if something Glorifies God the Father through Jesus Christ the Son then it is His manifest–will without a doubt be proven true–so we will test what you say as we are told to but i want to be careful not to dismiss anything that is “yet speaking” Jesus as the Exalted Lord as the Holy Spirit will bear witness and the church will be edified (and warned/encouraged/built up). i do take to heart what ron wyatt’s story tells as it to my understanding tells of the Lord Jesus Who is outside of man’s thoughts and ways to get His Will accomplished on earth as it is in heaven-fulfilling all patterns and types within that canon-whether i understand it all or not–and only encourages my faith in what God Spoke from the very beginning and moved men by His Spirit to record for every age of men. for some today the Trinity is the Father the Son and the Word–the Bible teaches us that the Trinity is the Father the Son and the Holy Spirit (Who will guide us and teach us All that is True john 16:13-14 specifically but really a developed thought from john ch 14-17). so i pray that we be Spirit led with the Word to know what we see in and of this world.

It’s an outpouring, all right. It’s ‘fire, fire, fire’, and people falling left right and center (with eye witness reports of people actually getting injured falling backwards). It’s jerky movements and freaky laughter. It’s ‘come and get IT’!
Some travel far and wide to ‘catch the fire’, and they all line up to ‘catch it’.
And “my people want it so”.
But true revival is always about brokenness, repentance and holiness.
‘Revival’ has become about as abused a word as ‘love’.

Again, I will say, it to me is a Representation of God the Father.
Vic mentioned in a note that he could not see it….I have no idea if any others can….I will only add that, other than Vic, I’ve never shown that pic to anyone and pointed to the area and they couldn’t see it. Not to say anything negative about or to Vic, I just don’t know why he can’t.
And again I will add, I never intentionally put the other images into the painting, they’re just in it.
And I have no explanation for why it should look at all like the image on the Shroud of Turin.
I have no opinion on the Shroud either way.

At first I ONLY saw the skull yes…UNTILL LAST NIGHT . That was when I saw the ” image” of a face that looks like the Shroud of Turin.

Our experiences, and others’ claims, can lead us to very wrong conclusions.
We are presently debating this ‘fire-outopuring’ on a Swedish forum. A pastor resposible for inviting the fire-preacher used the example of his own mother as a template for whether it was sound or not.
Apparently his mum had been ‘baptized in the Spirit’ in the fourties, and had in the process ‘broken two chairs’, and ‘spoken in tongues nonstop’.
– Nobody think that’s outrageous?
– Is that a behaviour honouring the Lord?
Now, if we let such an incident guide us – then we can end up very deluded.

i’m very sorry to have spoken in such a way as to upset you Rick. In a symbolic way only, i was picturing the face of the Father looking at His Son, thats all. Allow me to ask, is the one on the cross supposed to be none other than Jesus, like what i assume ,or am i wrong about that too? and does not the skull represent satan in the painting? /// When i look at the face on the left side of the pic, i see what i assume to be the Father gazing at His very own son…and, i also see a slde angle of what i assume is God looking over at satan, {the skull}. I refuse to get into a tit for tat about something that is clearly NOT bearing witness with the Spirit and for me to even try and express that { in my flesh} is POINTLESS!
I’ve forsaken ALL for the cause of Christ and am not willing to compromise my stand now. Those who know me personally { friend or foe} will testify that I REFUSE to bend this knee to anything BUT Christ. I’ve come way to far to do that 😉
It’s about ENDURING till the end and not stubbornness or any defiant act that some may assume may be driving me. It’s my LOVE for the Lord that has LOVED me like none other. He has proven Himself in ways that not too many people have experienced. I say that in much humility and give HIM all the glory for His faithfulness.
As a very young widow the Lord gave me this *scriptural promise , which since then has been affirmed countless times in the past few yrs. Funny how almost everybody {unknowingly } who pray for me somehow give these to me.I love that God’s Word NEVER returns void.
Two weeks ago I had a patient { she claims to be born again } ask me what was written on my hand. I had received a txt from another believer prior to seeing her with these verses being confirmed twice that day . Anyways not to go into too much detail she asked me to read these to her out of her ESV bible. I said I’m not able to do that but will quote it for her as I know it 😉 After I had done that she went into a complete rage….it was the most horrifying thing and told me to *hut the *8ll up and NOT to speak that way because WHO TALKS LIKE THAT anyways. A sad reality hit me on Monday morning as I arrived for my early shift.I will leave it at that and pray that in this she will repent of her wicked ways. This is but only one instance that the Lord has shown me that IF HE is for us , who can be against us ? This is a PROMISE to ALL of us here!

I have perhaps not come as far as you when it comes to being ‘unbending’, but I believe I’m on my way. Sometimes I am surprised at what I myself have written!
As you say, it’s not hardness, or stubbornness, but rather a love for the Lord, and for the Truth, that fuels this ‘unbendedness’. Plus, a growing hatred of false teachings and delusions that deceive the flock.
We have an ongoing discussion over at the Swedish forum. (Could provide a link, but…)
Some representatives of the ‘outpouring’ are quite upset with us, and call us deluded, unloving, etc. Views are divided: some are all for the ‘fire-outpouring’, and think it’s the start of a revival that will sweep the nation.
Others of us don’t feel that way.
And when it becomes clear Rodney Howard Browne, ‘the Un-holy Ghost Bartender’ is in at the roots of it all – it makes it even easier to discern.
In the States (I guess that’s where you live?) you have the dis/advantage of having such a strong, evangelical tradition. Almost ‘everybody’ seems to say they are Christian and ‘born again’. Well, by their fruit…
This is not the case in Sweden. We now live in a post-christian society, where Buddha, Yoga and meditation have become the new religion…
And these influences are creeping into the churches!

I was widowed at a very young age { when most of my friends didn’t even consider marriage yet } and was blessed by two precious little gifts from the Lord to bring them up when everything you can imagine was against MY FAITH. I’ve lost ALL family for the cause of Christ and trust me I’ve met some pretty wicked wolves on the way as well{ widows seem to be one of the main targets for these}.May God have mercy on their souls , worst is I’ve witnessed their fall. I say that in godly fear!!!!

Widows seem to be a target for wolves – yes, I think Scripture has a comment on that! I’ve stumbled across some wolfy tracks myself. Wolves also prey on the weak of the flock, and I had been ill for a long time, and succumbed to a ‘healing prophet’… No, no healing. Just tousled feathers. But this has actually helped me see much clearer now, when we have a wolfy ‘outpouring’ going on…
(The Lord has used my chronic illness for good. And now I only pray ‘thy will be done’:)
I’m actually surprised at myself for how very straightforward I have been in taking a stand against this ‘revival’ (that the visiting preacher keeps calling ‘his’ revival)! Some of the people involved have commented in our forum (that thay find hateful and despicable) that they would have felt it in theit spirits, if something was wrong about this outpouring.
One brave sister replied that the last person to know their house is on fire, is the person in the house. She told straight forward that these people wanted their ears tickled, and therefore had succumbed to wolves.
We learned Rodney Howard Browne (from your own back yard) phoned this preacher, and told him that ‘the anointing’ was over him, and to keep going. Well, to me, that’s like pulling the sheepskin off the wolf!

thank you for confirming what God has shown me in different ways today.
I love it when the Body of Christ functions in harmony – across the globe!
This thing about trusting in man – it’s devious. It’s a boat on turning waves.
Whereas trusting in God povides a constancy. And it teaches us patience, as we wait for Him, instead of running ahead with horses and chariots from Egypt.
When commenting on the miserable ‘outpouring’ here, I came across an interview with Andrew Strom. He says he thinks there was a genuine hunger for revival at the bottom of ‘Toronto’, and all that has followed since, but that there was no willingness to wait for God.
“The first thing with real power that came around – they jumped on it. The first ‘anointing’, the first spirit with real power – they dived in!”
“Just like with Abraham: Ishmael came first, because of an unwillingness to wait. [Trusting in man – or woman – instead.] And Ishmael has ever been a thorn in the side of Israel.

shorttribber and anyone else–i have been thinking about something….with all that is about to happen that looks like isaiah 17:1 and ps 83 in the middle east it occurs to me that after that (and God supernaturally protects and gives a victory to israel like he has done in 1947 and 1967) there could be a time when the world gives israel some new found “respect” and anti-christ is on the scene to make a covenant with them and let them have temple mount (sorta) because he will dividing it up between the big three religions (rev 11:1?) in the interest of “world peace” (sickening) that he will let them all have their own relics and shrines for worship up there that that is when the ark, etc might possibly appear and give israel some status politically and “religiously” and israel falls for the “peace” that anti-christ is brokering, ending up betrayed. then afterwards the ezekiel 38-39 war (all coming together now for that future event) where the Lord steps in to defeat anti-christ and his minions. the ark may serve it’s purpose for a time but then get disposed of because afterwards and by the time all this transpires, israel will have come back to their One True God and remember the ark and the old covenant no more. what do you think? anybody else have any thoughts on this? just thinking out loud too…of course i do not know this as certainty but is it Biblical to even think this a possible scenario? maybe somebody has a chapter and verse to apply here that could help sort this a bit more. thanks.

We can guess and second guess. But we may be totally mistaken.
I was reminded of this today, as I read Malachi. The prophecies about Messiah there give no indication that it would end up being two millennia between the first and the second advent of Christ. In fact, I think those who read the prophecies ‘before the fact’ would understand it as though the ‘Day of the Lord’ and the (first) advent of Messiah were one and the same happening.
(That’s why most scribes and scholars didn’t get they had Messiah in front of their eyes!)
Likewise, I think it is probably just as hard for us to be dead (or alive) certain ahead of time.
More important than having it all right ahead of time, is, I think, being vigilant and watchful. And not being deceived.
And surely what happens in and around Israel may give us an indication.

will have to check that out tony, thanks-and yes ingela i do agree. speculations to understand as we rightly divide the Word of God to illumine what the events before us are really presenting is all part of watching–but absolutely as you are alluding to in your reply-we must keep a guard up around our minds to not let even a half truth (still a lie) come in to deceive. so i do want (to ask right questions/form ideas based on the Scriptures) to understand–but trust God’s answer His Way-His Time. if the scribes and pharisees of that time in history had mixed faith with their Scripture reading they would have understood the signs and miracles God gave right before their faces and would have saddled their donkeys and ridden the 5 or so miles from jerusalem to bethlehem to meet the Lord of Glory in that manger. God has always put all we need to know Him right under our own noses and understanding prophecy may prove to be pretty much the same. i’m desiring to be a berean with the Word about all issues of life and prophecy as well. i miss a number of things-as we all do-but in all my limitations i do just simply trust that the Spirit will guide me/us to the Truths we need to see right when we need to see them. thanks for always giving an encouraging word ingela. You are right. the scribes of two millennia ago lacked one important thing – or rather, an important person – the Holy Spirit. Yet Jesus rebuked them for not understanding the times right, and for not connecting the dots.
As you say, it would certainly have been possible for them to figure it out, since the wise men actually came hot on His trails!
But, then, the scribes might have been lured off the scent by the fact that (they assumed) Jesus was from Nazareth. And already there, he was disqualified, so to speak. (They had missed that prophetic word, I guess?) – ‘Can anything good come out of Nazareth…?’
I do believe we can, and should, understand enough of prophecy to know where it’s heading. So please don’t think I’m against trying to piece the puzzle together. Don’t we all! 😉
Yes, I have endeavoured to lay quite a puzzle myself: complete with horsemen, harlot, bride and Groom – all set within the corner pieces of the Jewixh/biblical feasts… 🙂
(If anyone’s interested, I tink Dr. Gavin Finley ov Endtime Pilgrim has some interesting perspectives on the puzzle.)
I just hope we are not thrown off the scent by something not fitting witin our frames. We may then end up chucking important pieces away, or perhaps, sitting on some… (Meaning we end up blocking our own view!)

thanks for the reply ingela. i am not quite locked down to any particular camp though i lean mid-trib. (i do like endtimes pilgrim’s site too). opinions including mine are just that-opinions. and they are like navels-we all have one!—but—–God’s Word is the Authority so i just know that we are not appointed unto wrath and i hang on to that. what really peaks my interest in how all this shakes out with israel and her neighbors and their plans to destroy it and how all this brings on the abomination of desolation with armies surrounding jerusalem. carving up the land of israel and then in particular temple mount is what i believe will be coming up before much longer as the middle east turmoil boils over and this whole thing is ramping up to a fever pitch as we speak. i think the stage is being set (nearly complete) in the political realm for “world peace” –advertized– “brought to you by your friendly neighborhood” anti-christ fella who is groomed for taking his position as the one who stands in the holy place to bring “final” peace and safety to the world-stopping the “plague” of religious wars (mostly the fault of the jews and christians) a poison pill of half-truths but all lies… like we said earlier—h e a v y.

You’re right, André. I also believe the stage is set, and that the ‘carving up’ of the land cake is about the next thing to happen: ‘a piece treaty’ so to speak.
Interesting that we have these tremors now, just as the autumn feasts are up…
This ‘not appointed to wrath’ could mean different scenarios: either as with Lot – rescue at the very last minute, or like Noah – shut away in the ark seven days before the rains started, or even, like the Hebrews in Goshen – while curses and darkness fell over the rest of Egypt (i.e. the world), the Hebrews were protected, and darkness didn’t get there.
It may even (at least for some?), be like the three men in the burning oven – the Son of Man was right there with them!
If we are still alive and around, we will see. All we need to know is that God will never leave us, nor forsake us, and that His ‘little flock’ does not have to dispair.
Gavin Finley has written a couple of articles on ‘the Bozrah rescue’ – a possibility I’d say never gets talked about in church. Many times it’s simply lost in translation.
And I am still not totally sure wether it’s reading into the text, or reading out of the text.
(Nor does anyone over here really ever talk about the second advent, and the end times – us grassroots have to find fellowship around the hope of His coming on the internet!)

All I wanted to add Andre’ is that there are so many things that could occur that make sense and have a reasonable amount of scriptural support that we must just all be Ready…..for More than Any of us Expect.
We’ve all got our systems and opinions and are fairly confident that we’ve got some ideas right…..the thing is though…..God has placed many decoys in the path of prophecy.
Partial fulfillment, Decoys, Layers…..what ever they are….or mixed bits of each of these are common……..common enough to learn that we All WILL be surprised……..No Exceptions.
Just my opinion of course….but I do believe….there remains No Exceptions…….We are All Dull of Hearing and Seeing Clearly…………….More than we Realize.
But I do hope that i’m not wrong in saying that, THAT will Indeed Change, before the Wedding of the Faithful to Him Who’s NAME IS FAITHFUL.

thanks shorttribber. there are things that are hidden from our view and hearing because of dullness—yes i think you are speaking the truth about that. i know that is true of me-though i want that to change and pray for that very thing. i believe that there are many many things that God reveals-loves for us to uncover by faith(and will take faith to understand because spiritually discerned)–but perhaps many more that He Reserves for Himself to reveal in ways that only as we see them will we know them. meanwhile i pray to be a bride prepared-in anticipation of her groom-her lamp filled with oil. He will do the Ultimate in Shock and Awe. oh yes–time will tell……………

Ingela, i feel as though, you, on the other hand, are easy for me, to figure out,…….and i like and love what i see in you through your way of commenting. You bless me every time you comment! Thank you. ,….as for me,..? i sometimes get in these places in my spirit, where i choose to be kinda poetic with my style of expression,[ not that i’m any good at it]. i think maybe i shoot to express the inexpressible and it shows itself as sort of wierd. oh well, it takes all kinds to make up a world. to me, what i’m putting forth makes sense,…believe it,..or not! i hope not to seem strange,or at least not overly strange as a member of this website in a negative way. i guess i show some different sides of myself here,….humm, i must feel comfortable in doing so amongst you all,…thats a good thing,i think. This has come up once or twice before. i once wrote a poem that went like this: “Little eddie wanted to be free,…………so little eddie grew wings!” love to all

I appreciate the way you all have welcomed me here.
There is a time and a place for everything. And of course we should be able to, to some degree, be personal here. And even to display some humour! Even Jesus did on occasion.
But maybe there’s a difference in being personal, and being private?
Perhaps those displays of private awe and ‘fizz’ are better kept to our own prayer closets?
We all need to be careful of not using this forum as a private dumping ground, or even a playground. Sometimes maybe we need to ask ourselves whether we write to relieve some private need to express ourselves, or whether we write for the benefit of edifying the Body.
(Sure, there’s room for the former: we are to share each others’ burdens, and to pray for each other. A beautiful trait I’ve already seen in action here.)
Just yesterday I read that God wants us to grow in ‘manly maturity’. Someting to ponder, (especially for us sisters). And to be honest, I am a little weary of christian men (in very general terms now) who still behave much as children, when we desperately need them to grow up, and stand as men, in the times we live in!
A combination of a general, and a personal reply, Tony.
If we correct each other, and build each other up in brotherly/sisterly love – then the whole body benefits. We are admonished to ‘leave childish things behind’, and to press on towards the goal. Think I’ve seen a longing for that, even through your comments. 🙂

Just as the prophecies were both revealed, and concealed, when it comes to Messiah’s first advent – so I reckon they will be both clear and ‘misty’ to us.
But I believe, if we stay awake and vigilant, we may with the Holy Spirit’s help discern what is happening.
Tracking with map and compass is tricky in a dense wood. However, when we come to more open ground, we can begin to discern some landmarks – and the map begins to make sense to us. Perhaps we are still trailing thru the forest?
