A step closer in Damascus and Kittim

This morning (well morning in the US anyway), we are greeted with news of a potential major step toward the fulfillment of prophecy. We’ve all been watching Syria as it relates to Isaiah 17 for more than a year now. Today we see their Russian ally abandoning their military posts and a key naval base in Syria – signalling a belief that this conflict is going to escalate, and they clearly don’t value their alliance with the Assad regime enough to leave their troops in the line of fire. This greatly increases the odds that the Israelis will be more aggressive in their airstrikes to contain Syrian air defenses, missile capabilities and encroachment on their northern border.

Moscow Announces All Military Personnel Evacuated from Syria

To see really the big story of today from a prophetic perspective you have to read all the way to the very last line.

Cyprus meanwhile is allowing Russia to use its ports, and Cypriot media report the government may agree to allow Moscow to use its base at Paphos for military aircraft.

Not long ago if I had said – “Russian forces will come from Cyprus to force the withdrawal of a European or UN force from Israel” the typical newswatcher would have thought I was a loon. As of today, it is in place and prophecy is just waiting to be fulfilled.

“At the appointed time he will come again to the South, but this time will not be like the first. 30 Ships of Kittim will come against him, and being intimidated, he will withdraw. Then he will rage against the holy covenant and take action. On his return, he will favor those who abandon the holy covenant. ” Daniel 11:29-30 HCSB

The simple fact that we are seeing so many things align to match exactly with what God has said through his prophets and the apostles leads me to believe that many of our interpretations of scripture regarding the Roman Empire reborn, where the AC comes from, What the covenant with many for one week is are very much on target, or at least very close to being correct. God’s word when it all comes to pass will be fulfilled perfectly and clearly, even though the world may wish to deny it.

  2. Tony please seek the Lord on the link you provided. Proceed with extreme caution.
As noted in a prior conversation, you may want to consult the godly man that is “showing you a better way” and maybe if you choose to contact Rob privately that would be wise as well.

  4. Tony just by opening up the page it should raise major red flags. Seriously. It’s end time occultism.

For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers; and they will turn their ears away from the truth, and be turned aside to fables. But you be watchful in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, fulfill your ministry.”

Most disturbing of all in these postmodern prophecy teachings is a comment made by Gary Stearman of Prophecy in the News who wrote in its April 2013 magazine article “The Dark Side of Bible Prophecy,” concerning the verses Daniel 2:42-43 that

“it is clear from this prophecy that there will be another, latter-day attempt by the mysterious “they” to infiltrate the genome of mankind. They know that if human seed can be corrupted, it will render God’s plan of redemption null and void.”

Is Stearman actually saying that God’s “plan of redemption” can be “rendered null and void”? Is that what these other prophecy teachers are saying (in many of the quotes above)? This assertion runs totally contrary to Scripture! Over and over again, Scripture assures us the Truth about redemption:

That we should be to the praise of His glory, who first trusted in Christ. In Whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the Word of Truth, the Gospel of your salvation: in Whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that Holy Spirit of promise, Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of His glory.
    (Eph. 1:11-14)

Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by His own blood He entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us…. And for this cause He is the mediator of the new testament, that by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions that were under the first testament, they which are called might receive the promise of eternal inheritance…. So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall He appear the second time without sin unto salvation.
    (Heb 9: 12,15, 28)

  5. speaking of teachings that make red flags go up…locally there is a popular preacher speaking on the Aleph Tav. The Hebrew for Alpha Omega i think. He teaches annual conferences on the concept that the Aleph Tav (Jesus) is all throughout scripture, that you have to know Hebrew and see the different appearances of it(Him). I don’t doubt that Jesus appears throughout the OT before His NT appearance. I’m going to watch the DVD of his presentation. Anyone have any ideas on this? Thanks.

Thank you, and then i will look at your second link to herescope,……….i mean EVEN MICHAEL HEISER!This is interesting and has really got me wondering

  7. oh i see both of your links above go to the same place. thats fine, as there is loads of documented research to ponder/n/consider. It would appear as tho these other researchers are exposing darkness and preping us for discerning the strong delusion…while at the same time they are preparing us for strong delusion [ so that we are ultimately deceived ], thereby making them true false prophets. Holy Smokescreens Batman!

  9. yes, i agree, there is wisdom in a multitude of counselors. It amazes me to see or to think i see a number of highly intelligent well known and highly respected prophecy teachers involved in false teachings and missing the point as a result of the intoxicating effect of those errorful teachings. This requires seeing thru faulty logic and sharp skills in thinking clearly, weighing opposing viewpoints, etc. When i was taking organic chemistry back in college, there were 150 of us in the class at the start,..thru the semester 75 dropped out and i was still there,….at the end of the semester dr. Brown put a note in my box, saying, congradulations tony, you’ve earned a b+ in this course! well let me tell you, if it wasn’t for the tutor,John, from scotland, that i hired to help me work up the material, chapter by chapter, i would have been blown out of the water. This prophecy stuff hits me the same way,.. i mean Sarah Leslie has analyzed this stuff like an expert, reminding me of Constance Cumby and her amazing powers of observation, and sharp analytical skills. me,…i need help to see it clearly. i trust Jesus and He brings me to places like this site etc. thanks for the help,………in this prophetic field of study its like walking thru a danger zone with deadly landmines. i still need to sort this further. i mean with all the new age teachings on aliens [E.T’s] and the vaticans fascination and their preoccupation with it, along with the theosophical teachings on the ascended masters and a new age christ as well as christ consciousness and evolution into cosmic consciousness and self deification thru expansion of awareness in connection with meditation, bio-feedback and other occultic psycho-technologies[sensory deprivation, hypnosis, channeling into past-lives through regressing or whatever, etc., that folks everywhere, christians included, are being prepared for ultimate delusion, to believe the lie; that we don’t need God or Jesus, cause we can get there on our own traveling on the wide broad paths along the broadway. So i took it as a fair warning from missler, heiser, marzulli, tom horn and doug hamp and the others of their type, when they speak out on the ET’s actually being fallen angles, demonic by nature,…set to deceive the world as they masquerade as beings of higher intelligence who have come to help us save ourselves and assist us in further evolving; a Luciferic Deception.

I totally understand your scientific mind { my son specializes in Cell Biology and Genetics} but am so blessed by your desire to study to show yourself approved and just love how the Lord says it here 😉

Luk 10:21 — In that hour Jesus rejoiced in spirit, and said, I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that thou hast hid these things from the wise and prudent, and hast revealed them unto babes: even so, Father; for so it seemed good in thy sight.

Jer 9:23 — Thus saith the LORD, Let not the wise man glory in his wisdom, neither let the mighty man glory in his might, let not the rich man glory in his riches:

Jer 9:24 — But let him that glorieth glory in this, that he understandeth and knoweth me, that I am the LORD which exercise lovingkindness, judgment, and righteousness, in the earth: for in these things I delight, saith the LORD.

sorry it took so long to respond. I don’t want to condemn this pastor or the ministry. I just don’t know enough about stuff like this. I don’t think he is trying to seduce with a false gospel, i just don’t see the point in opening a rabbit trail if you know what i mean. I think his intentions are good. Someone who attended the conference said he just wanted to show how Jesus is present all throughout the Word and that the Bible could not have been created by man and this is the proof of it. Thanks.

  12. This is from their website:

“Aleph Tav began in a series called ‘Word Explosion’ by Pastor James McMenis in 2010. The surrounding interest was so great that eventually it evolved into what is known today as Aleph Tav. During this powerful teaching event, Pastor McMenis gives insight into the origin, meaning and prophetic nature of the Bible. God has laid out evidence from Genesis to Revelation that reveals the mysteries of His Son’s life and death. Everything, including the very letters that make up the Hebrew alphabet, speaks of Jesus as God’s plan for salvation. Aleph Tav is a thought provoking study that allows Jesus to be seen throughout the entirety of scripture. The event has become one of the most anticipated gatherings of the year. Aleph Tav will be held on Monday, June 24- Thursday, June 27. Word of God and Pastor James McMenis are excited to bring a fresh experience, including honored guests, merchandise, and gifts for attendees. “

  13. Scott ,
I’m not able to open the link { error on my end } and will need to somehow view this from another source. Are there any others ?

My very first question is . Is this Pastor insisting that there be an understanding { and the reading of } the Torah and the Talmud to gain some ” deep ” and mysterious knowledge?

Secondly is there any hint of Jewish Mysticism or the Kabbalah in his teachings?

Please note that I too refuse to bring false accusation { condemnation } against another but we are compelled to test the spirits .Even more so in these dark days and great deception.

I will never dispute that Jesus Christ is the” I AM” of the Old Testament as that was the very first truth that the Lord showed me the day He saved my soul 😉 but I don’t think that’s what you’re referring to correct?

Okay I promise to behave now 😉 I’m not being facetious, just being reminded of the Word.

2Pe 2:18 — For when they speak great swelling words of vanity, they allure through the lusts of the flesh, through much wantonness, those that were clean escaped from them who live in error.

  15. I’ll tell you something about this ministry and I’m not judging, etc. This same body has only been in existence for appx. 10 years, maybe less. They moved into their new sanctuary over 1 year ago. The folks that bought their former building?…our church body! They have doubled in size in such a short time and have already started a 2nd service in their new building which is not small. You could see from the link that they have their hands in everything. Our body in contrast has been in existence almost twice as long as theirs and we can’t even fill half the 700 seat building they vacated!
I’ve always been leery of ministries that have that kind of success and it appears to be so charismatic. They claim to be a Baptist denomination and their services are not Holy Ghost events. He’s actually quite reverent and respectful. It’s kind of funny, but their congregation is predominately African-American, and when he gets revved up his speech begins to get a little un-caucasian shall we say, and gets every one fired up. But, when I’ve heard him speak he speaks truth and everyone I’ve met from there seems to have an understanding of the Word. But, you’ve noticed some things that i just find suspicious about any ministry.
He does have a hunger for the Word and encourages his congregation to dig in. Again, I’m not condemning, I just want to know what you all thought about the Aleph Tav? One more thing. I did look at YouTube and their are some people like Joseph Prince that have sermons discussing this. Anyone know about him?

  16. Hisown,

No to both your questions above. That i know of he is not requiring them to read the Talmud or go deeper into the Kabbalah, etc. I don’t go to the church, but do have family and friends that attend. When speaking to him and his wife, people i know that have met him say he is a genuinely great guy, humble…I will say this, and it has always bothered me, but the congregation takes care of him and his family. Overnight he has no material problems if you know what i mean. I can’t put my finger on it, but I’ve never been alright with any minister being just fabulously wealthy or anything for that matter. That is a whole other ball of yarn to unravel and i do have issues with it, but anyway, I’m rambling now.

  17. This is one of many reasons I believe the local church – a local fellowship of believers is so important.

And let us be concerned about one another in order to promote love and good works, 25 not staying away from our worship meetings, as some habitually do, but encouraging each other, and all the more as you see the day drawing near. Hebrews 10:24-25 HCSB

I am beginning to understand why we need to be cautious about critcizing another christian ministry or church – as Scott has shown by his example. All that is good and praiseworthy and all that is evil and heretical cannot often be easily seen from a afar (sometimes it’s clear – like with somebody like Benny Hinn or many others).

I pray often that the readers here will be encouraged to seek out others who find their salvation in no one but the person of Jesus Christ and who cherish every jot and tittle of God’s Holy Word. Whether its in a traditional chapel, a school gym, someone’s basement or under the same tree in a field on a regular basis I pray that we as believers will gather often to encourage each other in the faith, and to teach the scriptures.
