Today’s headline has an unspecified number of US troops moving into Jordan to support the influx of refugees and reinforce the Jordanian military as the skirmishes increase between Syrian and Jordanian troops along the border.
What is not mentioned is the disposition of Syrian rebels to the Hashemite regime in Jordan. I think as much a hedge against the Syrian military, it is even more an effort to prop up a regime that is also teetering on the brink of collapse to the Islamists. Why elseĀ locate US troops in Jordan specifically when there are hundreds of miles of direct border between Iraq and Syria where US troops could establish a presence in the area?

Thanks so much for keeping us udpated, I have not commented for a while as I have a 93 year old man who lives with us who has been ill and in hospital for over a week. Very vulnerable so I had to stay up there with him. We have him home now on Hospice, although doctor says he is not saying only 6 months left but because of his age and the trauma it causes him being in the hospital best thing for us to do. And because even though I am there telling them not to do certain meds and questioning some of his reactions, you cannot get an answer out of the nurses and boy let me tell you I am certain that this is worse than when I used to work in the hospitals. I cried out to God as my heart told me it was just not his time and he has protected him from so much that could have gone the other way. I know all of you have been praying for my family as well, as I pray for you and yours. Certainly this clock must be winding down as we see all these signs.

The article goes on to assert that the US is trying to drive a wedge between Ankara and Moscow, but i t looks to have failed as Moscow is promising to amke sure Turkey has enough natural gas through the Winter if Tehran’s supply faulters.
I think Russia is going to want to team up even more with Turkey now to protect their interests in Syria and cement their relationship.

I asked a pastor friend last week if he thinks we are about to enter into the “strong delusion”. Enter ? he exclaimed!….we are already in it!
Don’t know how else to say this , but there is a universal ( I hate using that word ) deception that has blanketed the world as evil is called good and good is called evil, yet most of the persecutors are the ones that have a outward form of godliness,,,like what is this!
I had to chuckle this morning as Mr Obama habitually ignored the question on the ” Benghazi” attack and pray that the Lord will expose the innocent blood that was shed there!
Reminded me of a verse in Habakuk 2 again this morning.
Because thou hast spoiled many nations, all the remnant of the people shall spoil thee; because of men’s blood, and [for] the violence of the land, of the city, and of all that dwell therein.
So we have : Iraq, Syria, Lebanon, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, and finally Iran?

Wow, I can’t believe I missed this thread.
I’m just wondering if the Ezekiel 38/39 (Gog-Magog) ; Isaiah 17; and as some have mentioned Psalm 83 (although I don’t see it) – aren’t just a series of wars leading up to, and include Armageddon.
In other words, it may not be just a single war event that destroys Damascus in a day, or the events in the Gog-Magog war are a separate event – but they are all combined together over a period of time that includes the Return of Christ at Armageddon.
After all wars are decreed until the end of this age, and the events that are happening now with the wars could very well describe what is going on today. The End will come in like a flood.
