  3. i can sum up for ya—-easy believeism….shallow and man-centered. (no repentance needed–hey life is like a box of cereal…..) flippant in comparison to the Glories of the Cross of our Lord Jesus-the Beautiful Salvation He bought and paid for to give us the Mercy (no not one) we do not deserve.

  4. I watched it all and ‘Dude’ – it is way cool IF you are 12 or 13. Anyone over 13 will be hard pressed to keep up.

This is a VERY shallow attempt to share the gospel – and indeed falls short of the Glory of God. Perhaps good for a laugh – for a church youth group – but television.??.

For one who is serious about their sin, in need of salvation – lost and in need of hope – this video is Emergent’ attempt to be relevant in the 21st century, but offers no Biblical Truth.

He said he and Captian Crunch wanted to share…. Who Might Capt. Crunch Be? I shudder to think.

    Cherrio.!!.

  5. For some reason 1 Corinthians 2:4-7 come to mind:

And my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man’s wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power:

That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God.

Howbeit we speak wisdom among them that are perfect: yet not the wisdom of this world, nor of the princes of this world, that come to nought:

But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory:

On Born to Watch there is a great posting that everyone should see about whether you are a Christian or not….or as I took it – am I living for God right now.

  6. in the modern watered down “gospel” there is no conviction to live Christ as in galatians 2:20. don’t know where this quote comes from but it has stuck with me and it is profound….”is Christ you life or just important?”

  7. Thanks for giving me the synopsis of another Jesus and another gospel many today seem to preach. Sickens me more than I can say. The bible and the examples there are not good enough for them today that is for sure.

We have the examples of the prophets of the old testament and the apostles of the new testament with Jesus Christ being the chief cornerstone of the foundation of the church. Then we look to all who have died in the persecutions of Jerusalem, James the apostle, John the Baptist, etc etc, then in the Roman persecutions, where many were fed to the wild beasts for believing in Jesus rather than Caesar, countless many more died at the hands of the Roman Popes when they would not submit. Can any of us say accepting the gospel is an easy way? Look today at Iran where they will execute a Christian pastor, for not going to Islam? There are so many that we have a tough time listing them all. Look at communist Russia where believers were sent to die in the cold Serbian camps, look to China when it became communists and killed many believers. The easy way is not the way of the cross let me tell you that. For us today in America most of us have suffered ridicule in our schools, ridicule in the workplace, families who think we are off into the nether lands for our strong beliefs.

Many professions that cannot even be held by believers, who will not buy into the geology of billions of years, those who believe the flood was a real thing, and that things were created by God, will not be able to advance up in the fields that they may like to go into. I believe things will get worse for the true believers not better that is for sure. But the easy affluent life many thing are Christian is not what we see as our examples that is for sure.

Php 3:7 But what things were gain to me, those I counted loss for Christ.
Php 3:8 Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ,
Php 3:9 And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith:
    Php 3:10 That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death;
Php 3:11 If by any means I might attain unto the resurrection of the dead.
Php 3:12 Not as though I had already attained, either were already perfect: but I follow after, if that I may apprehend that for which also I am apprehended of Christ Jesus.
Php 3:13 Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before,
Php 3:14 I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.
