Iranian Pastor Faces Execution for Refusing to Recant Christian faith

FoxNews: The lawyer of an Iranian pastor sentenced to death for refusing to renounce his Christian faith is hopeful an appeals court will acquit his client.

Attorney Mohammad Ali Dadkhah says he believes in a “95 percent chance” of acquittal for 32-year-old Yusuf Naderkhani.

Dadkhah told The Associated Press on Thursday that he has appeared before the appeals court over the past four days and expects a ruling by the end of next week.

He says neither Iranian law nor clerics have ever stipulated the death penalty as punishment for converting from Islam to Christianity.

Comment by Wickus:

This is very sad but also a reality that will be with Christians worldwide real soon. Please pray for this Pastor and his family. Please pray for the body of Christ who is currently under persecution worldwide, but does not make the news.

And please pray for the western Church who thinks that they are so special that they will be raptured away before the same persecution befalls them.

Thanks to all of you who has send me mail about this.

  1. Let us pray as if he were our husband, son, father….Oh may the grace of God fill his prison cell….death where is your sting, oh grave where is your victory?

They loved not their life unto death, of who the world is not worthy!!

I meant to post the article related to this earlier and did not do it, how I pray and seek God’s face that if this time came to me or my husband that we would stand as strongly as this courageous group of believers seems to be doing. .

Mat 10:28 And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.

Gen 15:1 After these things the word of the LORD came unto Abram in a vision, saying, Fear not, Abram: I am thy shield, and thy exceeding great reward.

I pray also for the many persecuted ones that we may never hear about in this world now. My thoughts are that there are very, very many.
