The man with dark sentences.

Who is behind the Arab spring and Palestinian September? Can we dare to say that someone who is understanding dark sentences and and flattery are behind this?

Here is what Haaretz reported today:

The picture is clearing up. The Arab spring is an Arab disaster. In the coming years there will be no democracy in Egypt. The choice in Egypt will be either chaos, Islamic dictatorship or military dictatorship. In the coming years there will be no democracy in Syria. The choice in Syria will be either a bloodbath, an Alawite dictatorship or a Sunni dictatorship. In the coming years there will be no democracy in Jordan. The choice in Jordan will be either weakened Hashemites, the Muslim Brotherhood or Palestinians. In the coming years there will be no democracy in Libya. There the choice will be disintegration, disorder or renewed despotism. Perhaps in Tunisia a real change for the better will occur.

The picture is clearing up. The Palestinian September is an Israeli-Palestinian disaster. The Palestinian September was conceived by two European statesmen – Bernard Kouchner and Javier Solana. Those two naive men figured if they grant international sponsorship to Salam Fayyad’s Palestinian-state plan, they would force Israel to make a final-status arrangement.

The picture is clearing up. The combination of the Arab spring with the Palestinian September could create a perfect storm. Since the big Arab revolution is not offering real hope, it awakens rage and hatred. The first wave of rage and hatred was focused on Hosni Mubarak, Muammar Gadhafi and Bashar Assad. The second wave will be focused on Israel. Facing the wave will be transient, weak Arab leaders who will have difficulty containing it.

Comment by Wickus:

I also see a perfect storm approaching. The storm is approaching the EU were calls are to unite the continent with their economic problems and the storm is approaching Israel who will be forced by the nations to give up their land. The storm is approaching the nations of the world who will choose side against the Holy God of Israel. And since 1995 when Javier Solana started to get into the world scene, the storm is getting closer and he is involved with all of this. The little that we see reported in the news says enough. What is said behind closed doors and never does reach the news? Dark sentences? Flattery?

I will come out to say that I believe that we are seeing the final few years of this dispensation unfolding before our eyes.  Prepare yourself for a hyper-speed fast forward of prophecy. This is not a prophecy, but just my observation on what is happening in the world and Israel.

Dan 8:23  And in the latter time of their kingdom, when the transgressors are come to the full, a king of fierce countenance, and understanding dark sentences, shall stand up.

Dan 11:21  And in his estate shall stand up a vile person, to whom they shall not give the honour of the kingdom: but he shall come in peaceably, and obtain the kingdom by flatteries. (properly something very smooth; that is, a treacherous spot; figuratively blandishment: – flattery, slippery.)

Joe 3:2  I will also gather all nations, and will bring them down into the valley of Jehoshaphat, and will plead with them there for my people and for my heritage Israel, whom they have scattered among the nations, and parted my land.

  1. I truly pray so Wickus, and agree. I am so ready for the return of Jesus to this world of unfairness, when God will send true justice that we cry out for night and day. True justice can only be when Jesus returns. Thanks

  2. It’s early morning here in Chicago where I am – and I woke up with a start this morning at about 3:30 with something stuck in my head that I have to share with my friends that post here and ask for your discernment.

I was thinking about all that’s been going on lately and how we seem to be inching painfully toward the fulfillment of many prophecies- but we keep on falling just short of something that we can point to as a new absolutely certain fulfillment.

For some reason the scroll with 7 seals in Revelation 6 kept sticking in my head – the 4 riders, the martyrs, the wrath of the lamb and the coming judgement of God. Since I’ve been up I’ve been back in the text again, reading commentaries again and something hasn’t been sitting right with me. The scroll – is sealed so no one can read it. The first 5 seals all seem to be the culmination of man’s sin – the realization of eons of rebellion against God. The rider with the bow- the antichrist, bringing a false peace (who we think we might know, but can’t yet provide current rock solid evidence to stand on the housetops and point him out) . The rider on the red horse bring war (which seems right at the door when I look at the news). The rider on the black horse, some calamity which causes the world economy to crash and basic sustenance to be barely affordable (Again – which seems so imminent right now). The rider on the pale horse – the resulting famine, pestilence and death. These things all seem to have two elements in common – one they are being wrought by man, two they are being allowed (but not caused) by God.

I woke up thinking that the seals, broken only by the lamb, are the seals on a scroll of last days prophecy. Not until they are broken by him, in allowing these things to occur can we really understand what the prophecies are saying and point to an event (with the exception of the rebirth of Israel) and say look – these prophecies are certainly being fulfilled, and these are certainly the very last days before our Lord comes. I know we are blessed to have at least one prophecy that’s on the scroll revealed to us, and to all of our brothers and sisters throughout history – the most important prophecy on that scroll is that The Lamb triumphs and we reign with him forever.

Ok – that’s what I’ve got it’s not some carefully reasoned treatise on Revelation 6, but just some thoughts that were stuck in my head. I’m hoping the readers here can correct me where I’m wrong, and if anything I wrote makes sense from the text help me to pull that little bit from it that might be worth something.

  3. It appears you have a good grasp of the difficult Book of the Revelation. Indeed there are many questions yet to be answered and He will answer them one at a time – when it is time.

But one thing is certain, we are living in exciting times. Grab hold of His promises and don’t let go – we’ll be traveling some mighty rough waters and skirting some winding thorny trails on our way Home.!!.

The only thing that I’m able to add is that for the past week or so the Lord keeps waking me up at the same time….3:30 is like my wide – eyed time….not good when one needs to be up @ : 5;30 laugh!

Promise to pray and see the Lord for clarification.

  5. Thanks Hisown and Ali – I know 3:30AM sounds really early, but in my house it’s really not that unusual since we have 5 month old and 2 1/2 yr old girls that like to get up between 4:30 and 5AM – so my wife and I get to bed pretty early.

It is a pretty weird feeling to have your eyes pop open and feel so alert and awake that you know you couldn’t go back to sleep when it’s still dark, and will be for at least a couple more hours. I don’t know that early to bed and early to rise has made me healthy, wealthy and wise yet though – so another extra-biblical traditional saying bites the dust.
