For Spanish Javier Solana, former High Representative for Foreign and Security Policy (1999-2009) of the European Union, the “Arab spring” made it clear that the fear of Western governments to the emergence of radical Islam was wrong.

said Solana, who is visiting Buenos Aires, in a dialogue with three media, including The Nation.

The Spanish diplomat was very optimistic about the future of the region because “the Arabs were truly spectacular revolutions.”

Comment by Adamantine:

I suppose it is possible to simply lie a lot and this is what JS is possibly doing. He cannot know better than we do about the risk of the emergence of radical Islam UNLESS he helped direct these “revolutions”. I say they are at this point simply change in leadership and not change in direction.

  1. Good grief, only some man with no real heart could think this way, first of all I do feel for all those living in oppressive governments around the world. But look at the amount of death it has taken, and did the Iranian revolution result in things better for the common people?? I do not think so from what I can tell. Anyway we need to pray for all those going through these times, and we all know that Jesus returning is the only true answer to this world’s problems, that is for sure.

  2. Been reflecting on these verses over the past few days and am joining you all in prayer seeking the Lord on the soon appointed time of this 😦

He has promised to reveal those deep and secret things. (But God hath revealed [them] unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God. He revealeth the deep and secret things: he knoweth what [is] in the darkness, and the light dwelleth with him.)

    Isa 14 :16-17
They that see thee shall narrowly look upon thee, [and] consider thee, [saying, Is] this the man that made the earth to tremble, that did shake kingdoms;[That] made the world as a wilderness, and destroyed the cities thereof; [that] opened not the house of his prisoners?
