Xenophobia and Intolerance in Islamic Saudia Arabia, The Elephant in the Parlor

Shall not pass!

Javier Solana warned last June in just six lines the need to combat any forms of intolerance, racism and xenophobia and promote dialogue with the religious confessions of immigrant populations, especially with Islam.

Comment by Adamantine:

I agree that Xenophobia and religious intolerance needs to be fought everywhere..

It is this same intolerance that has banned all expressions of Christianity from that bastion of Islamic lack of freedom in Saudi Arabia.

Javier Solana continues to place himself on the correct side of the debate …unless it relates to abuse of Christians and Jews … in which case his voice is not just quiet but absent from the dialogue.

Saudi Arabia is just one of the elephants unseen in the parlor.

  1. Amazing to me is the hypocrisy of all this. Tolerate Islam, but their own countries do not tolerate Christianity or the jews for that matter. They even when they did, or do, make them second class citizens. Just amazing to me how the world is so blind to truth.
