New York hopes for economic boost from Gay Marriage.

NEW YORK | Mon Jul 25, 2011 6:00pm EDT

(Reuters) – New York City businesses hope the Big Apple will become the destination of choice for same-sex marriages, with hotels, wedding planners and caterers vying for a slice of the potentially lucrative trade.

The city’s official tourism agency, NYC & Co, has put in place a global marketing campaign to attract homosexual couples who can now legally wed in New York.

Hotels and restaurants are touting gay wedding deals. The Crowne Plaza in Times Square, for example, is offering private limousine transportation to City Hall and two tickets to a show on Broadway

Comment by Adamantine:

New Orleans used to be a destination for those wishing to celebrate these sexual sins.

Does God have His way in the whirlwind?

Did God know about Hurricane Katrina  before it hit ?

What does the future hold for NYC ?

  1. blind. none so blind as him/her who will not see. i feel like the prophet jeremiah who cried his eyes out watching his nation fall to utter ruin….my people are destroyed for lack of knowledge of the Lord….wise to do evil, but to do good they have no knowledge…the Lord cried His tears thru the eyes of His prophet pleading for the people to return to the Lord–and be saved. when i read jeremiah chps 3-8 especially my heart is sure i am seeing in my nation what jeremiah saw in his. it is time for You to act,O Lord, for they have made void Your law. ps 119:126

  2. God who is ever merciful and loving and forgiving for those who come to him. Adam and Eve did not listen to God, Israel did not listen to Moses, neither did they listen to the prophets God sent to the nation. Then in time he sent Jesus, some listened some did not, Israel did not understand the personal need for salvation from their bondage to sin. Many gentiles did not and do not either. But God is the same, ever merciful and full of love for his creation, a creation marred by sin and unwillingness to live in his order. As Jesus said as in the days of Noah and Sodom and Gomorroh, man’s heart is continually evil, and yes God does know all about the decay of his creation, as Paul tells us in Romans:

Rom 8:18 For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.
Rom 8:19 For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God.
Rom 8:20 For the creature was made subject to vanity, not willingly, but by reason of him who hath subjected the same in hope,
Rom 8:21 Because the creature itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God.
Rom 8:22 For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now.
Rom 8:23 And not only they, but ourselves also, which have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body.
Rom 8:24 For we are saved by hope: but hope that is seen is not hope: for what a man seeth, why doth he yet hope for?
Rom 8:25 But if we hope for that we see not, then do we with patience wait for it.
Rom 8:26 Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.
Rom 8:27 And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God.
Rom 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
Rom 8:29 For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.
Rom 8:30 Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified.
Rom 8:31 What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?
Rom 8:32 He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?
Rom 8:33 Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God’s elect? It is God that justifieth.
Rom 8:34 Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us.
Rom 8:35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?
Rom 8:36 As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.
Rom 8:37 Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.
Rom 8:38 For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,
Rom 8:39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

I pray for justice like we are told to do in Luke 18, and justice means Jesus returning to this earth to rule and reign. Praise God HE will come.

  3. And I forgot to add, they never listened to Noah in his day either, as he knew the flood would come. But we, like Noah, keep building our faith in Jesus Christ and his words. We know, so each day I pray to be more like Jesus in word and deed. Praying for all of you here as well. Watch and pray, we will continue to do this.
