Hi William,

I have been watching Ezek. 38 & 39 for some time. Re the "hooks" in Magog's (Russia) jaw, one of them we believe is Russia has always wanted a warm water port - they now have a naval base in Syria. They also signed a pact with Iran (Persia) for oil & Gas rights in the Caspian Sea.

I thought you might be interested in two articles that I recently read - one yesterday from a news report I receive from Israel. This was the headline on that report :

"U.S., U.K., France Launch Blockade Exercise of Iran."

The name of the operation really caught my eye, it is called "Operation Brimestone". I immediately thought of Ezek 39:6 when God brings down fire on Magog & the countries with him, also that fire is brought down upon those who dwell carelessly in the isles. Iran has been given a two week ultimatum by the six world powers who met in Geneva. The exercise is scheduled to end July 31, two days before the U.S./European ultimatum to Iran expires, re suspending uranium enrichment, or face harsh sanctions and isolation.

The second news headline I thought that might be of interest is the following that I read this evening :

"Are the feds stockpiling Survival Food ?
These circumstances certainly raise red flags"

The article went on to explain that Moutain House, the world's largest producer of storable foods is currently out of stock of #10 cans and will not have the product through 2009.

I tend to read most news articles with Scripture in mind - our Lord said in Luke 17 - it would be "as in the days of Noah" - I take that to mean no one was paying attention to the warnings of Noah & today who is really paying attention?

Our Lord also mentioned it would be as in the days of Lot in that same chapter - & we all know what happened to Sodom & Gomorrah - hail, fire Brimestone was poured down on them.

I tend to agree with your posting. Since Iran (Persia) is mentioned among the countries coming down into Israel, would an attack on Iran drive Iran right into the Russian Bear's arms ? I am puzzled about Iraq ( Babylon) that is not mentioned. I dread to think of the destruction that is prophecied & yet to be fulfilled - would our troops be wiped out and Persia ( iran) take over as they did in the past ? That destruction is in Isaiah Chap 13, the latter part of the chapter.

God Bless . . .

Hi Wickus, I'm still in the battle. Persia (Iran) is a cause of concern now. The present situation makes me think of Ezk.38-39.In light of the reality of the Holy See and the State of Vatican City and the E.U. then factoring in Israel and the Middle Eastern / Asian powder keg leads me to conclude the hour is indeed late.Looking at the present situation between Israel and Iran I expect an attack against targets in Iran(Persia) by Israel. The U.S. may not attack Iran, if not, Israel certainly will. Either way, "IT'S ON".I do not think Iran will cease Uranium enrichment and neither do I think Iranians will just let themselves be bombed. I think Iran will attack with everything they have.A rapid escalation involving Iran,Syria and Hezbollah (Southern Lebanon) against Israel would not be surprising .If Iran ,Syria or anyone else attacks Israel using chemical or biological or nuclear weapons a response by Israel using nuclear weapons should not be a surprise either.I think it is probable that Iran will respond with nerve agents amongst other things as well as Syria.Hezbollah attacking Israel with thousands of rockets again should be expected while homicidal/suicidal bombers try kill Israelis in their cities.Iran will likely seek to exploit the target rich maritime environment of the Strait of Hormuz. with missles, mines and maniacs in martyr boats and martyr planes.Martyr boat and martyr plane tactics have been used already(the Cole and the 911 WTC attacks). If the U.S. Navy and the U.S. Air Force get involved against Iran for whatever reason a full scale war could erupt. Just look at it now.If someone were to say what I just wrote sounds apocalyptic I would say, yeah, it does doesn't it !? I believe Iran will be bombed. A rapid escalation involving weapons of mass destruction is a real probability. Other nations getting sucked into the vortex of violence should be expected. This situation could escalate the war that will turn into a fulfillment of Ezk.38-39. That is what I think concerning the present situation. Unless Iran ceases its Uranium enrichment program,"IT'S ON"!

Hi William. How are you doing?
I have to agree with you. Jesus was not helpless and hopeless. I have read a number of Watchman Nee's books and he has a very good insight into the things of the Spirit. I can recommend his books to everyone. I believe what sometimes happens is that the translators that translate his work from Chinese into English might use the wrong expressions. While reading his statement about Jesus I was thinking about the times that Jesus said that out of Himself He can do nothing and He only does what the Father tells Him to do. Jesus was showing us His total dependence on His Father. Although He was God in the flesh, He did not depend on His own power, but totally on His Father. That is why He did not turn the stones into bread when He was tempted by Satan. If He did, He would have done it in His own power, and not on His dependence on His Father to provide for Him. And that would have been sin to Him as eating is not sin. So I believe the wording used in the translation was wrong, but the general idea of Jesus being totally dependent on His Father is spot on.

"The Lord is so perfect, yet His whole life is one which depends helplessly and hopelessly on God." That is a quote from the post above. I have a MAJOR problem with that sentence. Just imagine asking the Lord this question. Lord ,did you depend hopelessly on God for your whole life? I can hear the Lords answer already. Read what the Lord said to Pontius Pilate concerning legions of angels. Read how the Lord said he could lay his life down and take it again. Believe me the last thing the LORD is is helpless and hopeless. How could one be depending on God and still be called hopeless? To depend on God requires hope. One must have faith and hope in place first in order to be depending on God for anything. "Hopelessly depending on God" is a NONSENSICAL STATEMENT that defies logic and sound reason. Also, in the comment above is a reference to the WINTER SOLSTICE, Dec.21 Gregorian, Dec.25 Julian. More of the old SUN worship system this time from the Maya. If this wasn't so tragic and pathetic I would be rolling on the floor laughing. Faith, Hope and Love, abide in these three. I'm sure the Lord is, for His whole life. The Lord defeated Satan using the Sword of the Spirit which is the Word of God. The Lord was not and is not helpless. He CHOSE to allow himself to be crucified because he loves his father. He willingly laid down his life to please his father. The Lord helpless and hopeless is a myth. He died to please his father and by so doing paid the price for mankind, male and female. Helpless and Hopeless, is satan's situation !!! Thank God
