The following is a mail I got from Ray Gano of Prophezine:
Hello All,
The following is a link to a You Tube video of Todd Bentley.
This video is only 1 1/2 minutes long but I think it is very important. People wonder why we talk about the “Impartation aka “slaying in the spirit” as being perhaps the most ‘dangerous’ part of the Lakeland revival.
1Co 14:33 (KJV) For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints.
But when you watch this video, ask yourself do you see the following?
Gal 5:22-23 (KJV) But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, 23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.
Todd Bentley a Nicolaitanes?
Rev 2:15 (KJV) so hast thou also them that hold the doctrine of the Nicolaitanes, which thing I hate.
Who are Nicolaitanes? From Eatons Bible dictionary
The church at ephesus (rev_2:6) is commended for hating the “deeds” of the nicolaitanes, and the church of pergamos is blamed for having them who hold their “doctrines” (rev_2:15). They were seemingly a class of professing christians, who sought to introduce into the church a false freedom or licentiousness, thus abusing paul’s doctrine of grace (compare 2pe_2:15, 2pe_2:16, 2pe_2:19), and were probably identical with those who held the doctrine of baalam (q.v.), rev_2:14.
This is a video of Todd Bentley going down a line of people praying for the “anointing” to come upon them. But what is horrendous is the way the people are acting. There are these women who appear almost demon possessed wanting Todd to just touch them. Pay special attention to the woman in green.
Again I ask, “Are Christians This Stupid?”
Does this seem like God to you?

Pray for HIm.
Sad to say that if you go to Chrismatic/Pentecostal meetings, this is the kind of stuff you see. The first time I saw it, I was stunned. It very much resembles a hypnotist’s show, like Levine. They believe it to be a manifestation of the Holy Ghost.
I saw a certain famous Pentecostal preacher anoint a woman who had a stroke and was in a wheel chair. Shortly after her anointing, she got up and was assisted by two men who walked her a few steps and back to her chair. Everybody cheered and then they passed around the offering plate. The following Sunday she was back in her wheelchair, same as before.
Every church has their rite of passage.
People must understand that there is a distinct difference between Charismatics and Pentecostals. I know that there are a lot of people on TV and churches that claim both but there is a difference. My point is that a Pentecostals believe in the gifts of the spirit as mentioned in the book of 1 Corinthians. The gifts are to be used as the Bible intended. Charismatics are all about the “experiences” and what am I going to “feel” this time. They travel deeper and deeper in to a selfish quest for emotional stimulation and physical response to anything they label “the Holy Spirit”, so they can get their “fix”. Pentecostals worship because he alone is worthy of it. Pentecostals seek the gifts to edify the body and to bring glory to the father….BUT ALL THIS BIBLICALLY BASED. Todd is not Pentecostal. Todd is indeed in need of intercession. We need to pray and pray hard. I feel so badly for the deception that has attached itself to him. He has taken his eyes away from Jesus and is looking upon himself. There is a spirit there but it is not one of God. We all must pray.
Shalom,
Holly
Todd is nothing but a Dominionist/Kingdom Now heretic along with all the others. Bob Jones who is ‘Todd’s mentor’ got bust making women strip naked in his office because ‘being naked before the Lord’ was the only way they would receive a prophecy. Hmmmm…
I have written so many articles on Todd that after the 8th one I realised that this man is past the point of no return. He practices a christianized form of the occult.
If you know of anyone who received this ‘anointing’ and they want to lay hands on you. Don’t! Run for you life! Your spiritual walk with God depends on it! I have yet to find anyone in South Africa who knows of anyone who has been to Lakeland – but then again I spend my time at home Studying the Word of God and don’t go to church so anything is possible. I pray that this anointing does not come to South Africa!!!
God Bless
The things i have watched on GOD TV and the videos on YOUTUBE of Todd Bentley have dissapointed me and the things he is doing is not according to Gods Word, as there is to be peace and things to be done orderly.
God will be the judge, all we can do is pray for him and pray he will come to see the the truth of Gods Word.
God Bless
King David said that he would ‘touch not” Gods annointed..and Christians (especially) would do well not to either. Pray that Gods will be done and that we do not try to put God in a box of our own making. …Lord renew us again in our day…and do so as You please, in Jesus Name.
David said that about an apostate King Saul who was rejected by God but was still in the position as king of Israel that God gave him. David knew that God will make him king as promised and that he does not have to “touch” God’s anointed to hasten the promise. That scripture has been misused by false teachers much to long. I will rather use the following scripture:
Act 17:11 Now these were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of the mind, examining the Scriptures daily, whether these things were so.
Act 17:12 Many of them therefore believed; also of the Greek women of honorable estate, and of men, not a few.
Sorry, but if someone moves outside scripture I do have the Word of God backing me up NOT to trust their teachings and therefore not to listen or fear them.
As far as anyone from South Africa being at Lakeland…they have. There was an article about Pentecostal Leaders warning against the Revival….ok, after you pick yourself up off of the floor….here is the link…..the picture of the guy on the left, read the caption…he is from Cape Town.
http://www.theledger.com/article/20080622/NEWS/806220412/1410&title=Florida_Outpouring_Revival_Concerns_Pentecostal_Leaders
I know that conversations about this revival is hard but it is needed. The call for discernment is needed more now than ever. I watched a video with Bob Jones and Patricia King and Todd Bentley…well, it scared me. Really..something is not right there. Pray hard.
Remember pride blinds…but humility to the Lord and seeking only Him will bring revelation of the Truth.
Shalom,
Holly
Deborah said “If you know of anyone who received this ‘anointing’ and they want to lay hands on you. Don’t! Run for you life! Your spiritual walk with God depends on it! Alas! Eleven elders and deacons of the Celebration church in Bothasig, Cape Town are flying (20th July 2008) today to Lakeland, and have sent out a mail “Healing service July 20th Edgemead Community Hall” where they will “hand over” the impartation.
I know at least 25 people who have been to Lakeland and they are on fire for Jesus. They have brought me and my children to the Lord.
Sorry to sound negative, but there has been THOUSANDS who has been to Toronto and Pensacola who HAS been on fire for the Lord. If you and your children is still on fire after a year, then what you have experienced is from the Lord. If not, it has been the latent power of the soul. If I am wrong, may the Lord Jesus guide and protect you!
I know there is going to be people who is going to crucify me for this comment, but I have seen how people has been “transformed” by so called moves of God, just to lose their zeal after a month or three. I have always wondered why a move of God will leave people empty in a short time. If it is from God, then the zeal will stay and increase, not so?
I urge all of you to a book that I believe God lead me to read by Watchman Nee called “The latent power of the soul”. It answered a lot of questions to me. And it is a book written in 1927, so he did not know about modern revivals.
It seems strange to think that God would never do something out of the ordinary, or perhaps something that would scare on-lookers.
Is the bible not full of stories just like that? Were the disciples not accused of acting like drunkards on the day of pentecost? You’ll happily believe a story about a man who survived 3 days in a whale, a talking donkey, etc, but as soon as something slightly whack happens in a church it can’t be of God? Were all of the prophets of the old testament not social outcasts going against the accepted norm of society? Or are we somehow living in some different reality to that of the bible? Has God changed since then?
Is it inconceivable to think that an act of God may make you feel uncomfortable – even as a Christian?
1 Corinthians 1:27 but God has chosen the foolish things of the world to shame the wise…
I haven’t been to any of Todd Bentley’s services, so I will reserve judgement. But I would urge those who’ve already made their judgement from watching a 1minute Youtube to go and dig a little deeper.
I’m not trying to make a ‘you’re wrong & I’m right’ type argument. I’m simply suggesting that perhaps we should be open to the possibility that maybe God’s ways are not our ways.
[...] vs. Psychic Force Posted on July 16, 2008 by Wickus For those of you who have read my post “Todd Bentley – Is this of God” (and some other posts) and still wonder if I am to harge on the man and if this revival is realy of [...]
“..If there arise in the midst of thee a prophet, or a dreamer of dreams, and he give thee a sign or a wonder,
and the sign or the wonder come to pass, whereof he spake unto thee, saying, Let us go after other gods, which thou hast not known, and let us serve them;
thou shalt not hearken unto the words of that prophet, or unto that dreamer of dreams: for Jehovah your God proveth you, to know whether ye love Jehovah your God with all your heart and with all your soul.
Ye shall walk after Jehovah your God, and fear him, and keep his commandments, and obey his voice, and ye shall serve him, and cleave unto him.
And that prophet, or that dreamer of dreams, shall be put to death, because he hath spoken rebellion against Jehovah your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, and redeemed thee out of the house of bondage, to draw thee aside out of the way which Jehovah thy God commanded thee to walk in. So shalt thou put away the evil from the midst of thee.”
